I was able to capture some cute photos of Lily Anne last night when I got home. She is going to be a handful one.

Mom - this is not carpet!

We took advantage of the lovely weather we had the weekend. High 60's..which is NICE! So, Saturday we went for a very short walk. Lily Anne was not 100% into it. It was about her nap time but I really wanted to get out of the house. About 5 minutes into the walk she lets us know that she is completely tired and not into the sunshine.

I thought grr...oh well. So back to the house we go. By the time we walk up the drive way, she gets happy. Child - will you make up your mind?

I sat in the backyard, while Zoe (the dog) ran some energy off. Lily Anne got to feel grass for the first time. She was not very crazy about it...but did managed to get her fingers to dig! Dirt under the fingernails and all!

I even got a GREAT photo of Mich adn Lily Anne! This is worth it all. Mich is not a camera person...he actually hates me and camera. It definitely went in a frame on my desk.

After much determination...she inspected the dead leaf until it was no more. She broke it into a million pieces then decided to try to put in her mouth. That is when Mich stepped in and said no.

We did try the walk on Sunday...not so close to nap time. She enjoyed the entire hour outside. We walked by the lake in the neighborhood and then visited the ducks. Then enjoyed the golfers out playing. She was not terribly impressed with the golf carts...until a gentleman stepped out and smiled at her.

So, the weekend was a lot of fun!

Friday - brings the weekend right?

Friday... it is the start of the weekend right?

This week has been so long. Work has been super busy...the phone never stops. To which I would rather have busy day than a slow day. A huge glass of wine is in order tonight.

We are suppose to have a wonderful weekend of dry weather. Thank goodness, my poor child can not handle anymore huge temperature drops. Last weekend we were covered in SNOW. Lily Anne got to see and feel it for the 1st time. Although, she went to sleep for a nap with light rain...but woke up to the blizzard.

It was truly beautiful to see everything turn white. Lily Anne quite did not know what to think after we got her bundled up. Now, that was a story...For those southerns out there, snow is not normal. Knowing I wanted photos...but really not equiped with clothing/snow suits for Lily Anne. So with the only two jackets she owns and hat and mittens we brave the snow. These are photos from the backyard with mommy and daddy.

So, Lily Anne is cutting her top TWO teeth, but doing it like a champ. Although, we are on our 3rd ear infection. *yes, 3rd..we did not even make it off the medicine from #2 before we got #3. So, how is that possible? Well, as Mich says, the amoxicillin is a very common drug and most infections get immune to it fast.

Lily Anne is working on crawling more everyday. She has the army crawl down and gets all over the house. If I put my hand under her belly she will actually crawl. Super cute.

But I caught her learning to pull up on things while starting her bath one night. WOW!!

Now, look we have removed the bouncy and packed it away. So sad!

So, our weekend plans are figure out how to lower her mattress. This is going to be fun. We thought we were smart when we ordered the furniture and have baby store delivered and setup the furniture for us. Um...wonderful...except neither one of watched them put the crib together. We looked at the instructions and of it does not tell you anything but a drawing.

Oh..please excuse the mess ....but I am trying to make it look better. It is a work in progress...

A Evening with Lily Anne

So, my evenings are so busy with entertainment of a 6 1/2 month old. I can not believe how much she has changed our lives, as well as, how/what we do in the evenings.

After dropping her off at daycare around 8:45am...she plays non stop with all 9 of her other friends. She loves it in the new crawling classroom and all the new toys. I work all day and even enjoys the little break from her during the day. At 5, I am itching to get out of the office and pick her up. Listening to some jams on the radio on my short drive, then pull up under the cover and get my mind ready for non-stop mode until she goes to bed.

I enter the classroom, to which I am greeted incredible smile when she sees me walk in...followed now by her crawling to me. It is such a huge reward and makes it all worth while...even in the roughest moments.

Last night, I thought I would update my family and friends with a email of photos and videos that we took throughout the evening.

....so begins our evening.

Upon my arrival, I am greeted at the door by Zoe, our lovely Westie, who has spent the day sleeping and needs to go outside. With my new found arm muscles, I carry Lily Anne, carrier, bags and all into the house, let little Zoe out. Lily Anne is chomping at her Giraff (known to her as Jeffery) her fav travel chew toy. Thanks to Aunt Maggie and Sam(cousin). Out of the carseat she comes and I put things put up (purse, and any bottles left from daycare). Me and Lily Anne plop down in the living room and play discover the puckets of toys. Lily Anne entertain for a moment...I try sneak to change my clothes, but Lily Anne ALWAYS notices everytime ... and proceeds to follow me around. After some fun following me around from bedroom to closet and back again, Lily Anne grows hungry for some yummy food. (some nights it is a nightmare others no problem)

Daddy generally is walking in the door when I begin is fixing dinner for us and Lily Anne. Lily Anne is totally in love with her dad. They have special kisses (that mommy can not get out of her) exchanged. Lily Anne eats and Mommy and Daddy quickly eat as well.

Then our fun time begins and so does the video and photos....

While trying to figure out the US/World news of the day, followed by the Macon new (SNOW TALK!!)...Lily Anne enjoys time in the exersaucer... Her new found way to play in it. JUMP like a mad woman. Attacks the monkeys and the bar, followed by taking apart the alligator.

After, the exersaucer...Lily Anne plays with all the other fun toys and gets them all over the living room floor...her she is looking back ..."Mommy..you need to clean that mess up!!"



But wait...do not put my keys up PLEASE!



Umm..." I am watching you put everything up and I am on to you, mommy." The looks I catch on camera .. while trying to put up toys to get ready for bath time.



MOM....You put them up....Let me dumped the rings back out for you...



After wresling to pick up toys and get her ready to go upstairs for bath time...I found she is ticklish on her feet... OH MY... Grab the video camera....RECORD!!!!

After a lovely J&J lavender bath and a full lotion massage...concluded by a 8oz bottle and rocking and snuggling one last time for the day with mom (at least tonight...Dad and Mom alternate night on Lily Anne)...

Now, Mich and I start grown up stuff ... Laundry, Dishes, whatever needs to be done. All followed by playing Wii Active or Wii Resort. Got to get some exercise in for the day...and fun..



Note: Yes, Lily Anne sleeps in her crib all night, on her belly, snuggled with her lovey (we have 5, it must go EVERYWHERE), and then covered by her favorite blanket (yes it has silk side) She LOVES silk.

Wait a second here...2 teeth coming at once

WHAT!!!

So Lily Anne was chomping on my fingers while we were playing last night...and I felt that sharp thing. However, that was a rather HUGE size tooth. So, here we go again...Mommy and the dentist move.

Lily Anne on her back, mommy dangling toy for her to "AWE" at....Flashlight. WHOA...there are TWO teeth coming in on the bottom. No wonder she is cranky, ill, and quite showing the red head temper!

I am trying to be so calm and not get frustrated but....Lily Anne HATES eating. She was doing so well and loving it. Then ear infection #1, ear infection #2, and 2 teeth pooping up....She totally gets pissed with the highchair and food. I give up or rather just want to throw my hands up!

OY!! (smiles...Jenn you are teaching me funny sayings!)

PS... Eclisped.... Shoes!! Oh the shoes. Running to amazon to see which toe pairs of shoes Lily Anne should be getting! Why do I have to be the one to find these teeth... I think Isabella needs a new pair as well!!

Hello Size 8...nice to see you again

I was so excited to see some of my current "fat" pants getting rather big on me. Well after my horrible week last week. I decided to go through my closet and get rid of stuff. Since we now have set tops at work, which I love, allows me to get rid of some items. Wow...I have kept alot of tops that I had not worn in a couple of years. Having set colors and tops at work has saved me in the mornings and the guess work.

But while I was going through and straighting up....my eyes looked at all my wonderful pre-pregnancy pants. Letting out a big sigh...maybe one day! My lovely Banana Rep, Anne Taylor, The Loft pants were just hanging not getting in use. Thanks to my pregnancy...and keeping these hips and a little weight!! GRR! I have been on a serious diet since beginning of Dec. (before I was just careful in food choices.) So, in my wild hair and Mich playing with Lily Anne...I thought...lets try. So I was not even going to try my skinny 6's on ...but I thought 8 maybe..... I have been wearing my 12's which are now big on me and some 10's that are lose but not like the 12's. So... I was brave and one foot at a time...up they went.. WOW.. They made it over my huge hips and even button. They were a little snug...but I was JOYOUS!!! so much so that Mich came running in to check on me. He smiled and walked out shaking his head.

I am super pumped! It has taken 6 months to get this far...but I am so ready for it. So, onward with the diet. ....

First TOOTH

Lily Anne got her 1st tooth!! It is sharp...totally not expecting that.

TGIF - hopefully a end to horrible week!

TGIF! I am having one of the worst weeks of my entire life!!! (actually…my whole household is!) So we start out lovely week off with my sister’s family coming to visit and a cookout. It was lots of fun on Saturday. Sunday we thought DH, Me, and Lily Anne would hang out and clean house and make a run to Sam’s for formula (we got there as it was opening for the day…not a lot of people). I even thought I would try to get Lily Anne eating a lunch…so I feed her mangos mixed with rice cereal. She loved it…went down for nap and all is well….. Fast-forward to the evening…Lily Anne now has diarrhea. But just two diapers of it. I thought nothing of it ….maybe because of a diet change (adding lunch). All went to bed normally.

Monday…normal morning…except I noticed that when DH was taking his shower our toilet bubbled. I chuckled and told DH about it. We have had a lot of rain lately and we are on city sewage. DH thought maybe air in the line. Nothing more came of it. So…Lily Anne is up. DH goes to feed except she would only take 2oz of her bottle. I said no worries, I will feed her cereal and tell Mr. Brown at daycare. They can adjust her schedule when she gets the 1st bottle. Fast-forward….I pick her up and noticed that she did not nap a lot and she drank all her bottles. So I thought I was in for acranky tired baby evening. Well, dinner I pulled out squash and pears. (LA’s 2 favs!). OH NO…Lily Anne had a meltdown. Okay…I give up. Bath, bottle, and bed. Only to wake up and hour later….re-rocked her and sounded like a beginning of a cold coming and so we get ready for bed. I use the bathroom..Just pee …ladies (THANKGOD!!)…and the toilet would not flush. Yelling for DH …the plunger would not do anything. So DH said leave it and I will call a plumber tomorrow 1st thing. We have 3 other bathrooms..not no biggy ……if I only knew!
Well…to only be woken up at 1 am by DH puking! OMG. Seriously??? So he spends the rest night on the couch and trashcan….Now to make this nasty and completely a horrible situation…we have no working toilets at this time. None of them would flush!!

Tuesday: So the plumber comes out thinks he knows the problem. Our access point to the city sewage line was broken and clogged. In the meantime I am on my way home from work sick now myself. LA at daycare – healthy. So they got the toilet temporarily working for us. And DH goes to get LA…now two sick parents trying to take care of one semi-healthy child. (just runny nose…that is the typical lately)

Wednesday…they dig a nice 9.5 foot hole in my front yard…to find that it is not our pipe..but the cities. Well the city came out and said not their problem. WHAT! The pipe has your damn name on it. Okay so now we are talking the possibility of having to dig up some of our street.. WTH does that cost. OKAY ..>DEAR GOD, I know I have been a little off the past months…but I need a serious break.

So DH and I pick up LA and the plumbers were filling the whole. They fixed it YEAH and without having to tear the road up. Thank you! Well $1230.00 later we can take a shower! (A tree root grew inside the pipe…because the original plumber who plumed the house did not seal the pipe and a little root became a huge root) …..So Lily Anne did not do well with bottles at daycare and horrible at dinner. We gave her a bath and attempted the bottle to which she threw up. She was up every hour..

Have our horrible night DH stayed how with her. Maybe to get her back on a schedule again…wellwhich only ended in my calling on my way home …to be ask to meet him at the DR office. Lily Anne is a proud owner of another ear infection = okay..repeat. I can handle this. Over and over in my head.. Only to come home and fine my REFRIG is BROKEN! WTF!!! God do you think I can handle another damn thing going on in my life right now. I am on a serious verge of a huge breakdown. My refrig 3 years old GE Profile, and My house 6 years old. WTH!!!!

If you even made it through this to now Holy Hell you are one champ.

PS….I just feed LA breakfast which she ate ½ of …but I saw she is getting her first tooth…just breaking through!! Wonderful! And to my on going rambling. Here are some photos of our lovely ROOT!!!
