Reflexes....a good blogger friend wrote this!

Thanks to a good blogger that I followed...I had to totally put this on mine to read and re-read over. I can relate to everyone of them!!!! Thanks E! (her blog)

"Ok, so there are some reflexes that babies are born with that help them survive, like the sucking reflex, I get it. There also born with the startle reflex, which I'm sure serves some purpose in the greater scheme of things, but all it seems to me to do is wake up a perfectly sweet sleeping baby. But I bet you may not have known that babies are born with other reflexes too, although you may not find them in any textbook.

There's the "Out of Arms" reflex. This is when your baby is just about ready to go to sleep in your arms or is already in a deep sleep and you ever so gently place him or her into the crib and their eyes fly wide open. I live in fear of this reflex.

Don't forget the "Sitting Down" reflex. This is when your baby fusses every time you sit down but coos and giggles as soon as you stand up. It doesn't matter how you hold them or rock them, if you're sitting down that baby is pissed off. Why do babies care if you're sitting or standing? As long as you're playing with them or soothing them it shouldn't matter.

Then there's the "Dinner's Ready" reflex. This is when the baby starts to cry or fuss or become hungry the second that dinner is ready and you sit down to eat. You may also know this reflex as the "Just Sat Down" reflex or the "Just Got Undressed to Get In the Shower" reflex or "Starting to Blog" reflex.

And finally there's the "I'll Make a Liar Out of You" reflex. This is when you proudly tell a stranger how your baby never spits up and then she spits up all over the place. Or when you complain to your mother how difficult it is to get the baby down for a nap when she promptly konks out."

2 months!

She weighed in at 10lbs 8ozs. Measured 24in long.

She is growing up so fast. Those who like the growth %'s, Lily Anne's is in the top 95% in length, in the higher 25-50% in weight, head in the middle of 25-50%. I did not care much the %'s, but she has grown since her last app at 2wks. (6lb 7ozs, 21 inches)

They took care of her belly button...which she was semi okay with. Then the shots came....and OMG she screamed blood murder. Poor DH had to hold her hand then tried to sooth her when she was done. Since she would not stop screaming he handed her to me....She had the biggest tears in her eyes. I felt horrible. I had to hold back my own tears.

Came home and called work told them I would be in much later or maybe tomorrow. No way am I leaving my baby! (even if it is with DH at home) I could not sit at my desk knowing she was not 100%. Plus she still was crying when we got home. Work was very understanding.

First day at Day Care

So Friday was Lily Anne test day at Daycare. I surprise how well we BOTH did. I was nervus at first...but I have to get use to this. Lily Anne did just fine. I went grocery shopping and some shopping for a few things to go back to work in. It was very nice to go with just my mom!

I picked Lily Anne up and all the daycare could say was how incredible she was. They wanted to keep her and not give her back. (Although, she has been a very very easy baby....ducking from tomatos). I was reassured that I was doing good for Lily Anne. So, it is back to work bright and early on Monday. CRAZY! I have so ejoyed my eight weeks. Here are a few photos from Friday:

In my carseat ready to go.

Ready to walk in...big moment.

Okay...time to go...Lily Anne sound a sleep

Although, she did not nap normally at daycare....she still did not sleep through the night. Oh well. PS..funny...When DH was giving her bath that night she pooped in the water!! So, We had to bath her in the sink...here is photo....she liked it I think.
