My naked baby

My naked sleeping baby. Lily Anne decided that she did not to wear clothes this afternoon. When I went to change her diaper she peed all over herself and the outfit mommy put her in. Oh well. So mommy said she will get Lily Anne redressed after my lunch...umm...Lily Anne decided to take a nap.

So here is my baby sleeping in nothing but her diaper. I did manage to cover her and she uncovered herself.

I have finally got Lily Anne to lay on her stomach and play with something. She is staying awake a little more each day. (not much, but a little).

Seems like time is flying faster and faster each day. She is getting more and more active and beginning to be more wake. Which is really nice, I love looking into her eyes. It is truly amazing to see something Mich and I created....I am still asking how!!!???

Lily Anne keeps squirming until she achieves her goal. I panic eveytime I see this. But I am starting to have the thought....if you do it yourself fine. But I am not caving into her and outting her down like this.

I walked out of the shower to check on her....silly silly girl.

Aww...so sweet! Sleep!

Okay, So Lily Anne sleeps on her side, but lately has been un swaddling herself. I put her down after her bottle this morning and noticed she has been sleeping for more than 3 hours this morning so I went up to check on her and this what I saw. Now I know I swaddled her and put her on her side…I will be darned!

Random things about being a new mommy

1. You do get to stay in your PJ's if you want too. Although, I found it is better to get up and get dressed.
2. Hormones...Think again, if you think they go away after birth
3. Belly Flab! It is the new look for the season. I serious thought it would be much better than it truely is.
4. Labor pains...you really do forget about them the moment you see your baby.
5. Breastfeeding is harder than it seems. (boob meet baby mouth...uh not that easy)
6. Late nights...what? Not for the midnight shag session. It is bottles and diapers.

So the other night Lily Anne went to bed and I thought I would take a moment for myself. So I painted the toes and started the bath tub. Oh how I have long to take a bath without Lily Anne kicking me the whole time. So in I go and Mich thought he would be half romantic and join. Well, nice thought. I must have lost track of time. Because Lily Anne was heard on the baby monitor. Darn for that wonderful moment.

First real bath!

Lily Anne got to eperience her first real bath. She absolutely just loved it. She looked all around and was so calm. She is getting so much better with the schedule. But mommy and daddy are still trying to get used to the night shift. I will say that I am more able to swing the night shift more than Mich (simply because the last few weeks I barely got any sleep at night).

2 week Check up

Thing went well at her 2 week check up. She is healthy and making progress. She back up to her birth weight with a little extra. Here are some photos from today.

Playtime with Lily Anne

Lily Anne is starting to stay awake a little more. So I pulled out one of my tummy time mats. She did not take a lot of attention to it. She thought okay mommy...I am going to go to sleep. So I rolled her over on the back. She is just to cute.

This was taken after our walk. It is definitely harder to walk...but I am making myself get out and walk. I am still sore from the stitches where I tore during delivery.
