37 weeks....

and here we go....

How Far Along: 37 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 24lbs....

Is your nursery done? 75%.... I working a little on it each night after Lily Anne goes to bed. It is really hard to work on it with her undoing things! I know she just wants to help....but oh my...

What is your favorite piece of baby gear that you've purchased? Our glider.... I moved it from Lily Anne room. (she got a new comfy chair...it is really nice too)

Which stroller did you buy? Chicco.

How many inches around is that bump? I have never measured.

Are you getting nervous? just a little...but not about labor or the hospital stay...but about the your are home...

Have you dropped yet? um...I think a little...only because she is SO low.

Any other signs that baby is on their way? I am dialated...and she is really low...does that mean anything... I dunno.

How do you feel in general? actually I feel pretty great. I am tired at the end of the day and definitely not sleeping good at all....but I am happy each day. Enjoying the last weeks of pregnancy instead of wishing it away.

What are you getting the most excited about? to actually meet her. I have felt her the whole time...to be able to put her in my arms...ahh...

Any big fears or concerns? how will Lily Anne adjust once we are all home. Having a newborn again scares me a little.

What is in your hospital bag? nothing...it is not even packed. I need to get on that I guess.

Are you exercising? Yup, about 2 miles of walking at night. I have since the start...except on bad weather days.

How many more days until D-Day? um....

What are you doing to keep yourself occupied if you’re on leave already? I am still working! keeps my mind distracted.

36 weeks and updates

So we had our 36 week appt yesterday. We had another growth u/s to check everything because I am measuring small. (although I feel freaking huge)

So... Olivia is measuring 5lb 15oz. My fluid level is low (borderline at 6.5cm)...anything below 5cm in LOW.

**so we have another u/s schedule for May 4th at 38 weeks.**

Me... BP was back to normal, no protein this time (thank goodness for both!) gained 2lbs. Not bad! 1st Internal (yucky): Olivia is really low! and I am 1 cm. Both mean nothing to me!

*****************************************************************

Lily Anne....where does one start with her? She has become my chatter box! I AM SO GLAD TO HEAR HER TALKING!!!! I do have to really listen to figure some of it out...but some words are so clear. She also has started to play mommy and me. Loves her baby dolls and is so sweet to them. Fun to watch her play and not notice that I am watching.

Now, the ugly....She is becoming INDEPENDENT!!! Wants to do everything herself. Gets really mad when she can not. I offer to help and seems to make matters worse. Usually ends up with both of us mad. She also had her first session in TIME OUT on Sunday afternoon. Nothing was making her listen and all she wanted to do was throw stuff and scream. This behavior does not work in our household. So I resorted to time out and it worked. I chillled out for a minute, she screamed...but stayed there. When her minute was up we talked and gave hugs and kisses. Lily Anne was great for the rest of the evening! SHOCKED!!!

35 weeks. hum....

How Far Along: 35 weeks and several days.... but 30 days to go!!! How much does baby weigh: most like 4lbs... I know what all the literature says... 5 to 6lbs. But seriously Lily Anne was on born at 6lbs (39 weeks)...so small babies! Maternity clothes: yes 100% but I am growing tired of wearing the same thing! Cravings: OJ... Sleep: what is sleep? I spend the night....up and down. Bathroom, get comfy, roll due to hips, sleep.... then repeat 2 hours later. Movement: it is a daily and nightly battle with her. She is all over the place....boxing ring or soccer field.... Belly button in or out: Innie! What I miss: not being so tired lately. What I'm looking forward to: Next Wednesday. We get to see Olivia on the u/s one last time. it is to check on her since we are measuring just a little small. Milestone: 30 days or less to go!!!!!!!

31 Weeks

SO..... here we are at 31 weeks and some days. I am getting to the tired of being tired point. LAst night my hips decided to light me on fire. Not cool when you want to go to sleep. We are going to try to work on the nursery this weekend. My parents are suppose to come down and help paint....so we will see. I am trying to envision what painting with a active TODDLER around. I will post before and after photos at some point.

Lily Anne is doing wonderful and fully recovered from last weeks mess. We had a great weekend of warm weather and plenty of sunshine. So, we took Lily Anne to the park for running and playing on the playground. She loved every minute of it.

30 weeks and a sick munchkin!

We had a fun weekend with my sister and her twins (Sam and Haley) visiting us! Even with 7 years difference they played as if they were all the same age. Sam is so sweet to Lily Anne and protects her like no tomorrow. Haley is just now getting into Lily Anne especially since they can play dolls together. Thanks to Haley for sharing her American Girl Dolls. Liy Anne was in love with them....but this mommy is NO WHERE NEAR READY TO SHELL $100+ for a American Girl Doll.

Despite the rain and yucky weather....We brought the outside to the inside.

Upon request from Nana and Grandpa....a new updated photo of the 3 grandchildren.... shocking it will soon be 4 grandbabies. My mom (nana) is so excited about it.

Lily Anne is growing up so fast on me...and her hair is really starting to come in. Even growing in the length. Hopefully one day she will have enough for a pontail or enough to hold a bow.

Well.... After a wonderful weekend....but not so great in the sleeping area. I was very glad to have my sister come rescue my sanity this weekend. Lily Anne decided sleep was completely over rated and/or not needed. By Sunday evening she was completely ill! I was so hopeful that sunday night she would sleep good.... NOT!!! she whinning pretty much all night. Mich and I would go check on her and she would be a sleep but whinning.... I was clueless.

Monday she woke up extra early 5:30am! Seemed okay just moody. Off to daycare she went and off to a dr appt for me. Monday night....all heck broke lose. She was completely off....moody, crying, extra needy...and completely refused to eat. So, off we went to the after hours.

First they thought Strep throat....but after me telling them about the rash that appeared out of nowhere Saturday night, and that the woke up completely soaked with sweat. Lovely....Lily Anne has Hand Foot Mouth disease.... GREAT! it is completely viral...so no meds...just waiting game.

I hate waiting games. So I got to stay at home with her on Tuesday and Wednesday....I think she decided that it would be a great time to catch up on all the sleep she missed....with 2 really good naps with me on the recliner.

I sure did love the extra snuggles and love... and especially her letting me sit in the recliner with her when I was completely exhausted myself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry no belly picture this week....

We had a dr appt on Monday. Olivia seesm to be measuring right on track with a heart rate of 147. She has been so active lately....although, I do love feeling her. Her favorite place to hang out lately is on my right side in the ribe cage.

My poor body is definitely beginning to feel the effects of being pregnant. I am so tired at night and chasing Lily Anne and getting up and down off the floor is getting harder and harder.

Nursery progress....somebody needs to slap me....because we are not accomplishing anything lately. My mom says she is coming next week to paint...but that is still not 100% for sure. I have bought the paint. The furniture is at our house...just in boxes. I keep telling my self I have 10 weeks to go...plenty of time. But it just seems to be going so fast!

29 weeks / Lily Anne aw Potty Training

How Far Along: 29 weeks and some days

Size of baby: I am guessing around 3lbs...

Total Weight Gain/Loss: as of this morning....+12lbs

Maternity Clothes: pretty much all my clothes now.

Gender: Girl - Olivia Claire

Movement: lots and lots of movement! so much more than with Lily Anne. I love feeling her move....I think it is my favorite part of pregnancy.

Sleep: we seem to have good nights and bad nights...but overall not horrible yet.

Symptoms: Heartburn city!

What I Miss: being heartburn free. not being so tired...I get tired easily these days.

Best Moment of the week: not baby related.... But Lily Anne peed in the potty at daycare!

What I am looking forward to: getting started on the nursery.

************************************************************

Lily Anne has been doing really wonderful, with the exception of a few nights lately. Yesterday I went to pick her up for Daycare and her teachers said she peed in the potty! WHOA!!! Awesome job! She will sit on the pooty at school but not pee. That news was big progress. On the homefront she is doing pretty good with potty training. The mornings are her best. She gets up pees and poops....then eats breakfast. Sometime she will pee afterwards sometime not. But only using one pullup in the mornings!

But the 2nd big thing...when I walked into the room yesterday....(before the teachers comment)....Lily Anne got upp from story time out her lovey in her cabinet and gave me a hug. I was so proud of her!!!

28 weeks..and some othe stuff

28 weeks and some days. 3rd trimester....how did time fly??? Finally Olivia decides to have growth spurt and make me look pregnant! Although, I am feeling very pregnant lately. I have had some major pain going on for the past week. I know it is Round Ligament...but seriously it hurts. I never had this stuff with Lily Anne and I am thankful. Olivia has been so active, rolling and kicking all day and night. I think she is going to give quite a run for my money.

I am really looking forward to meeting her more and more each day. I wonder how Lily Anne will adjust, how will Mich, the dog....wait or ME for that matter. Somedays I am freaking out about having two little ones, then others I am like this is going to be fun.

No survey this week...I have something better!!! 4d u/s photo!

We had such a great u/s yesterday. Olivia was active and awake. Plus she has finally made it to the vertex (head down) postion. Wohoo!!! We got some great photos and she looks a lot like her big sister. Oh and the big kicker...she sucks her thumb too! Wonderful...TWO thumb suckers.

**********************************************

Lily Anne turned 19 mos this past Tuesday! She is getting to be such a ham. Potty Training has been a great success and Lily Anne is making huge progress with each day. I could not be mroe proud of her and all that she is accomplishing in such a short time.
Also, she is doing wonderful at the new daycare. She is finally walking into her class and barely crying. So I would say success here too!
I think all the change has helped her with her personality that is blooming on a daily basis. She learning new words and repeating more and more. I am constantly working on this with her and trying to get her to use her words.

27 weeks and Day #3

How Far Along: 27 weeks and some days

Size of baby: I think I read ... she should be around 2lbs

Total Weight Gain/Loss: as of this morning....9lbs

Maternity Clothes: pants yes, top some here and there.

Gender: Girl - Olivia Claire

Movement: wow....she is more active than Lily Anne was. I feel her all the time. Although strange I am only feeling movement below my belly button....nothing up top. I am wondering if she is still transverse.

Sleep: benadryl has been my best friend lately...with my running nose and watering eyes...not to mention it puts me to sleep.

Symptoms: OMG the HEEARTBURN!! Seriously I am really struggling with it lately. Somedays are better than others. But when it hits, I need to run to the nearest fire hydrant...because this has got to be doing some damage.

What I Miss: being heartburn free. I have so much more respect for those who suffer on a daily basis!

Best Moment of the week: I guess making it to 3rd tri.

What I am looking forward to: the 4D ultra sound next Wednesday...I am really excited to see what she looks like. Lily Anne's was pretty much right on!

------------------------------

DAY #2 WRAP UP: I picked her up and she was a little more fussy than usual but she seemed to have a good day. She is definitely becoming aware of the potty thing. Because last night she had a uh-oh look and ran to the bathroom. It was a little late but it is progress on her learning the whole potty thing is about. I am proud!

Day #3: Mich says she walked to her classroom as she did yesterday. She cried just a little bit. Mich seemed to think she is getting better with it. I am going to give a good two weeks.

Last day of being pregnant!

I all mixed emotions! I am super excited but super nervous too!

I can not wait to meet Lily Anne. Today has bought a world of problems to face ASAP when we get home. I have worked so hard on getting small meals prepared and frozen....but the freezer decided to die on us and we LOST ALL THE FOOD! Horrible. So, off to sears and lowes to look for a new one. Then called my mom begging for help....she is the worlds best. So she will be here tonight. She is going to try to cook and save what she can and clean up the garage.

She will stay through the weekend to help me while Mich and my dad decide on a new freezer and take the old one to the dump.

>>>>>

okay vent over.

>>>>>

Sitting here waiting for the hospital to call and say you are good to come in is really hard. But I am trying to find lots of thing to entertain me. Will post photos to catch up the blog later!!!

Until then!

Okay Lily Anne... you must listen

First, I lost my mucus plug yesterday. I was not even thinking about that....I am more worried about my water breaking. I know crazy me. But I called Mich to let him know and he completely was OMG>>>> you are going into labor. I thought it was very cute and worried about that a little myself. But after all I know and have read, losing you mucus plug could mean absolutely nothing. Well, here I am told STILL pregnant. But I thought like other ladies I would write Lily Anne a little note of eviction!

Dear Lily Anne,

Hi! It is Mommy (one very tired mommy actually). Hope everything is going well in there. I know you're running out of room, I can tell by the way you push on me as though you're going to bust out of my back. I know you're probably tired of hearing me grunt and groan as I try to do basic things like sit up, roll over, and bend down. It is difficult to do those things with a watermelon in my belly and a hiney in my lungs. But I do love having you in there! I really do, even when you get the hiccups to let me know you want something to eat. Or just to shove your head or heand into my cervix and make me yell out in surprise. I would not trade any of those lovely feelings....

I know something that would make you even happier... Coming out to meet everyone! That's right, we have plenty to entertain you here in the outside world. Daddy, Zoe and I have worked very hard to get your room ready for you. Nane and Granpa are getting a little impatient and Mamaw and Pawpaw are just waiting for the phone call to get in the car. Aunt Maggie is ready to spoil you and Aunt Amy is just ready for the next thing. She just got engaged and wants to show you her new bling.

When I went to the doctor this week, the doctor told me that you are still a high...but I think you are moving down. Mommy's cervix is ready and just needs you to come down. Daddy and I can't wait to meet you. Daddy is begging for you to come out. We only have a week until your due date and induction. It is ok if you want to wait until next Wednesday..... But I am growing a little tired and very grumpy. Please try not to take too much longer, the doctor is going to come knocking on your door to hand you an eviction notice very soon. So be sure you stay on top of it and come out soon! We love you and can not wait to meet you face to face!

Love,

Mommy

PS> Daddy and Zoe says come out and play soon.

38 weeks ... just one more to go!

We are going to pop!!!
38 weeks and the waiting game. I am so ready for Lily Anne to come out now. I have patiently waited...now my little girl needs to come out.
Sleeping is becoming a luxury! I am not sure why when you need the sleep the most you, you can not get any! The body works in strange ways.
We had our Dr appt yesterday. Everything looks really good. Blood Pressure was still down and I even lost a pound! We talked with the Dr and decided that if Lily Anne does not come this week or by next Tuesday, he will induce me. I am excited and nervous all at the same time.
Now we just wait and see. This is my last week at work as well. Which is proven to be a great task to sit and think! But at the same time, I am greatful because it would make it even longer if I had to sit at home and have nothing to do. At least it keeps me somewhat distracted.
But here is to my last full of being pregnant!! Hooray!

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

37 weeks. Hooray Lily Anne is Full Term

okay...so I thought I would never see this week. Not due any stress or stuff. Just when we first found out, I used to look at girls who were near the end and think wow "You are so lucky".

OKAY REALITY CHECK.... You are lucky to be at the end. But generally you are not feeling the luckiness of it all. You are MISERABLE. With not getting much sleep, uncomfortable all the time, clothes that are shrinking with each wash, and oh yes more more thing...stressed because...the baby could come anytime. So with all that running through you head...no wonder.

Looking back, I have had wonderful experience being pregnant and would do it over again. Now, I am ready to meet our daughter face to face. I love feeling her move inside but I ready for Mich to experience the little movements in his arms. It is just the question when will she come out and let us play and love on her! Until next week!!

Contractions!!!!!

Braxton Hicks - I hate them!!!

So me and Mich have been joking with each other about Lily Anne coming this weekend and making her a Yankee Doodle baby. Reason....almost everyone in the family both sides are going out of town away from us! Not that they live anywhere near us now. But they are going even further away then they are. We really want our families there, but found it ironic when everyone told they were going away for the 4th!

Okay....so last night while we were going to Sam's Club to get the food and stuff for our 4th of July party at the house....I have the most painful to date contractions about 10 minutes apart for 3 hours! I tried the walking...but some of them stopped me dead in my tracks. Then I went to the bathroom...thinking maybe my bladder is aggravating the situation. (I hate public bathrooms). Then we went to dinner. Lily Anne thought the contractions were funny and when food came she though wow...let start moving now. LOL... really not funny.

So they finally stopped! After me panicking for a few minutes there. I woke up this morning with period like cramps. Okay, now this is not that funny anymore!

36 weeks! WOW 4 weeks or less to go!

I do not think I can get any bigger!

We had our 36 week Doctor's appointment yesterday. Another internal...and it still hurt. I am 2cm dilated so hooray for progression. But was a huge reality check for me. Doctor and us decided if I dilate to 3cm before the 39th week, he will go ahead and induce on the 39th week. If she does not make her appearance before then. That would be July 20th!

I am totally for that!!! It has been one of the hottest summer's in GA! I am also so tired. I know that the tiredness is only starting but knowing the end is in sight is very exciting.

Okay...the survey...
How far along? 36 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: About 37 pounds.
Maternity clothes? yes.. I am ready to give them up!
Stretch marks? yes 6 of them. They started out little...but now...they are a little long. Darn those evil things!
Sleep: Oh heck...I know at some point during the night, I close my eyes. But when I wake up, I'm just as tired, if not more. Between the bathroom runs, and trying to get comfortable, ...I sleep the best I can and when I can.
Best moment this week: Knowing the end is coming!!!!
Movement: All the time. Somedays way more than others.
Food cravings: Anything really. But sweets and Orange Juice are still number 1 on my list.
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Braxton hicks all the time now. But it is entirely okay!
Belly Button in or out? Still in! Shallow, but in! (needs to stay that way. I have a bet with Mich that I plan on winning!
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach, my old clothes and being able to breathe normally!
What I am looking forward to: making it to July 20th!!!
Weekly Wisdom: SLOW DOWN! and not rush it. But I need to listen to these words!

35 Weeks! Lots to update

Not sure but looking at the photos...I seem to be looking more and more tired with each week.

But here we are at 35 weeks. We started going weekly to the doctor now. I had my first internal done on Monday. That was really eye popping. Needless to say, Lily Anne is doing okay heart beat was still good. I am currently about 1 to 1.5 cm dilated, which to me means nothing, because I can sit that way for weeks. I have been having a good amount of Braxton Hick contractions...but they are really not that bad.

She has been doing some moving...but definitely running out of room. She has been making sleep a chore with the up and down to bathroom and kicking. But I am SO not going to complain. I love feeling her move. I think this has been the best part ..having her all to myself.

We completed our birthing classes on Monday night as well. We got to tour the birthing center and mother/infant rooms. I still do not think I am 100% ready for what is coming in the next several weeks. I am getting nervous but I am so ready to hold and snuggle with her. I think Mich is ready to hold her.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

34 Weeks!

34 weeks.... okay so this is not my best photo...but I am 34 weeks and definitely feeling it 100%.

Although, we both are very exctied about next month...I am getting more and more nervous. I am beginning to wonder are we really ready for all that it fixing to happen. I am letting the thoughts in my head leave as soon as they get there.

Last night we had our 2nd Birthing Class. We worked more on the relaxation and breathing and watched a vidoe on birth and its stages along with pain management. For those of you out there do not know me ....DRUGS AT THE FIRST MOMENT AVAILABLE!!! I am not even going to try the nautral thing. Good luck to all those who do. But I am just not one for pain!

Lily Anne has been quite the active one lately. Sometimes I think she is trying to get out or escape then others I think she is just paying me back for spicy food.

So hip apin from last week has left me for a little while. Although, in return I now have to go to the bathroom every five minutes. But I would take anything to not have that hip pain. That was horrible.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

33 Weeks....only 7 weeks to go!

33 weeks.... really. I feel ready but not ready!

We started our birthing classes this week. (actually last night). Mich and I know it is a boring class but we thought it would give maybe one good tip. We have two more classes to go...however, I think I laughed more last night thatn I have in a long time.

First, Me and Mich can not sit across from one another and practice breathing with out laughing! Horrible.

Second, we saw exactly....what 10cm means!! I was totally not using my brain! But 10cm is HUGE!!!!

So, the non sleeping, nasal congestion, and hip pain is still bothering every night. But I am just dealing with the best I can.

Okay so it is has been a few weeks.....
How far along? 33 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: About 30 pounds.
Maternity clothes? wearing since the 2nd tri. But I think I am through ordering or buying anymore. (crossing my fingers)
Stretch marks? I found my first few last week. But I have been globbing the lotion on several time a day now. Hopefully not to many more will show up.
Sleep: I know at some point during the night, I close my eyes. But when I wake up, I'm just as tired, if not more. Between the bathroom runs, trying to get comfortable, trying to breathe....I sleep the best I can.
Best moment this week: I guess starting the birthing classes....means we are getting somewhere.
Movement: All the time. Somedays way more than others.
Food cravings: Anything really. But sweets and Orange Juice are still number 1 on my list.
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Spreading hips count. No nesting or anything else.
Belly Button in or out? Still in! Shallow, but in! (needs to stay that way. I have a bet with Mich that I plan on winning!
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach, my old clothes and being able to breathe normally!
What I am looking forward to: making it through June. I am so ready for July!
Weekly Wisdom: SLOW DOWN! and not rush it. But I need to listen to these words!

Hip PAIN!!!

Oh how they hurt! I had the worst night of sleep ever! No pillow in the world would or did make it better. I feel sorry for Mich. (Although he said he did not rememebr me tossing and turning all night.)

To make it worse, I am congested!
