Tripod...

I have a tripod sitting baby!! Olivia is just 4mos...how is it possible she is doing this....

She is growing by leaps and bounds these past few days. Olivia had her 4mo appt this past Monday...she weighs..14lbs even and was 24.25in long. Both are about in the 50%. So overall she is doing good. We have put her on medicine for her reflux...we tried without...but she is arching her back screaming and refusing bottles more and more...so it was time to add soem drugs to help.

Lily Anne aka Miss Hollywood or Drama Queen also had her 2 year appt on Monday. (yes, we were brave and took them both at once....worked out really really well). She doing so well! She weighs 26lbs and is 36in tall. Learning new things everyday now. Tells me new words (several) and sings to me (which I am in love with!)

So the potty training...or should I say Diaperless!!!! We have been in panties 99% with very very little accidents. She did great over the weekend...even traveling. She wore 100% panties all day. My mom was impressed. She is even doing great at daycare....staying dry all day!

Since Saturday she has been waking up dry!!! I put a pull up on her..but we say lets put your panties on..."she repeats no pee pee or poo poo in panties mama!" yup that is right. I am so proud!!

How is it even possible? I wonder how time seems to be speeding up more and more as I get older. Olivia turned 4 mos yesterday!! Amazing. She is doing really weel these past few days with sleeping on her belly unswaddled! I thought I was never going to see the end of swaddling days. But once she realized sleeping on her belly was awesome...it has been heaven ever since.

Lily Anne went to daycare with big girl panties.    I have called to check and so far...no accidents.   I am excited to see what happens by the time I pick her up this afternoon!

I am so proud of my little girl!   Yes, I just typed little girl...she is no longer a baby.   Sniff Sniff..

Olivia is 4 months today!!!!   Time is flying by so fast.   Seems like yesterday we found we were pregnant with her.   Amazed!!

Labor Day???

Stolen yet again from Wade's World, and in honor of labor day ..

How long were your labors?

Lily Anne - about 6 hours with 3 pushes I think. I know I was told to stop and wait after the first practice push..
Olivia: 31/2 hours with just a few pushes.

How did you know you were in labor?

Lily Anne: I was induced 5 days early. My choice. I was dialated almost to 4cm and I wanted her out! But when I checked in that night...I was already in labor on my own. So no drugs other than the epi!
Olivia: It was a normal day. I got up for a am walk, played with Lily Anne, took a evening (not normal), talked sykpe with my mom, put LA to bed. Mich started a bubble bath for me, it was going to Mother's Day. I felt horrible in the tub so I got out. Crawled in bed and felt hungry at cereal started having contractions and 31/2 hours later we had Olivia..

Where did you deliver?

In a hospital bed. Like a normal person.

Drugs?

Umm...Epidurals are the best things ever!! Lily Anne I got it pretty quick after I got checked in (around 4-5cm). With Olivia...i got it within 15 minutes of arriving...I was almost 8cm!

C-section?

So blessed to not have.

Who delivered?

Lily Anne - Dr. Pridgen. He is my OB...and he is the best and so sweet..
Olivia: Dr. Hollman. She was great and on call while Dr. Pridgen was out of town.

With me not blogging this summer has me a little behind on sharing photos....so lets play a little cathcup...

4th of July!!! We had a blast at the pool and fun with friends!
Lily Anne is learning how to be a great big sister!Olivia is growing leaps and bounds
Lily Anne and the swing set! It was her early birthday present. She has spent hours out there. This summer has been very challenging with outside play because of the heat and the heat index well over in the 100's!I could not ask for better friends!! Katie (from TX), Jenn (from SC), and Lindsay (my weekend bud) These ladies have been wonderful friends and great mamas!!! We got together over the summer and had a blast and so did our kids!
Kisses with Daddy. Lily Anne and her daddy or is it Daddy and his Lily Anne. I am not sure...becasue they are one in the same. The sun does not set without each other. They have a bond that I can not touch! She absolutely loves him. Her eyes follows him in any room and not matter what is going on she finds daddy.
Olivia is a mama's gal. Which melts my heart. She is such a snuggler and talker! Smiles at me for days. I could just squeeze her to death.Lily Anne turned 2.... Where did TWO YEARS go? I have no clue. But the past two years I would not give back or ask to be different. She has change me and Mich forever. The love, bond, memories, and all that the future holds....I can not imagine. To be parents is the best gift god has ever given us. We are so blessed!Sleeping so peacefully! Wonder what she dreams of? What does she see? Yup I was the mom that dress my girls alike! They honestly could have cared less but I was in love. Although, neither were up for photos!What do these eyes see? I really wonder because I could stare into them for hours!Some of Olivia's best naps are outside with daddy. LilyAnne in the pool, mommy with the camera...these are the days. Alrighty folks now that I have blinded you with all the camera dumping!

Favorite Things

Totally stole from Amy(Wade's World) this morning...it is always a good reminder to share your lastest favs! Lots of things I love and keep to myself others I am glad to share...so here are my favorite things of today!

1. My OXO Tot bottle brush!! it is pretty awesome. I love the stand it came with and that it is sturdy and cleans the bottles. I hand wash and use the dishwasher on the bottles. Using the dishwasher is quick but we do not fill it up quite as fast as we use the bottles. Not wanting to buy more bottles....we end up handwashing alot. I have it in pink and love it!!

2. Summertime Swaddleme pods. Olivia would not get any sleep if we did not have these. After two weeks of her breaking my swaddle job I brough one to try. LORD HAVE MERCY is was a great night. It has been since we have used these. There are nights she still does not sleep the best but she is not screaming because she wacked herself! Now...I just need to figure out what I am going to do when it is time to unswaddle her.

3. Puddle jumper! My best friend for Lily Anne!! She puts this on and can go all over the pool with no worries at all!!!! She is my swimmer and loves the pool thanks to Lindsay for letting us come over all summer to enjoy. I really would not know what to do without you Lindsay!!! lots of hugs!

4. Pre-mixed drinks! I love them because they are quick and easy. (oh and mighty tasty!) After the kids are sleep Mich and I like to sit on the back porch and talk. This is our adult time and sometimes our only sanity moment of the day.

So all my complaining....We all slept last night!!!! Soon as we got both girls in bed, we went to bed too. 9:30pm....our house was dark and quiet!

Lily Anne is a great sleeper anyways! Olivia slept FINALLY! long bath with sister (lots of excitement from both), just a onesie, swaddleme, and one thin blanket. Brought out the sleep positoner with the incline...Olivia slept great! I think the small amount of reflux is waking her up and the breaking out the arms..which I fixed!

Magic juice...is called a full night sleep! I even feel better today then I have in the last two weeks.

I need to verbal blog! I can think of a million things to say in the shower...but when I sit to type I am drawing a blank... Does the mind just go to sleep, push pause, or stand still? I do not think so.

so I will share some funny stories on potty training...or at least to me.

1. Potty training...parent torture!!! Being stuck in the house for weekends trying to get to a toddler to understand body functions. Farting...the eyes of did that just occurr. Followed by her turning in circles to look at what come out. (Much like a dog chasing its tail.)

2. The words "I go potty"...can mean so many things!!!
alternate meanings.....I already went and you need to clean me or the floor.
I have to go now RUN!
I really just want to see your response....JUST KIDDING
I really have to go and I want the surprise first.

3. I now understand why I have always told her to sit and put her legs down in front of her. Lily Anne sat there and put her feet up on the seat .... only to then pee. ummm.. I saw a fountain start...que the quiet laughter from me and at the sametime Lily Anne feet down!!!! Lord have mercy!

4. Why liltte girl and boys should not share bathrooms... Lily Anne treid to pee in the toilet standing up last night!!!! Funny, but I had to really not laugh and tell her to sit down. Girls sit to pee!

5. Lily Anne gave me hig fives for peeing in the potty. Even told me I need to wipe with TP! thanks dear, mommy did not need that lesson.

so...life happens.

but the best of stories. A little embrassing but it is life... Lily Anne and a bandaid.
Mommy is having a moment on the potty and trying hard to hide the panty liner in her panties. One curious child told me. Mommy diaper! I said yup. She immediately pulled her big girl panties down to look. Her panties were empty...she was shocked. Her solution...take her bandaid off her knee and try to place in her panites.

Seriously!!!!! I died right there.....what do you do or say to that. Oh my days are numbered!!!!

Monday Blues

Oh it is back to work! I have been so out of it! Last week was sick Monday and Tuesday with strep...horrible. I am still feeling pretty yuck...but I am trying to finding the magic juice to make it better. MICH!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

So, on to the girls....oh my girls. I love them, OH I LOVE THEM! Lily Anne is my heart melter! She finally hit the OMG, I love the potty! Since last Monday she has been in big girl panties! She has not pooped in them only in the potty! I can not say how happy and proud I am of her. Finally, a light bulb!!! I have been not bragging for fear of the dreaded JINX!!!!

So, lets hope this continues for the next million years! This morning she melted my heart. I got the girls in the car ready for Mich to take to daycare. Lily Anne rolls her window down and says: "mama, come here." I race to the window thinking it is for another kiss. Well that did happen, but she pulled my face close and said " I love you, mama". Seriously, the tears in the eyes were huge!!!! I love my little girl!!!!

Olivia...dear lord. She has cheeks for days, rolling thighs....all things Lily Anne NEVER had! I am in love with each roll. Yup she is chucky, but I am a proud mama!!! She smiles at me for days. But last night at 2am for a paci replacement...the smiles were really not welcomed. This sick mama is dragging! She is not sleeping at night like she started out doing...we are up several times with paci replacement, retighten the swaddle...yeah I have the swaddleme pods...but we wrap another blanket for warmth...how she likes it. But this is getting old. I have tried several times to leave a arm out, loosen the swaddle ....all things to try to unswaddle her...all FAILING! I am guessing it is what it is.....motto.

Life has been so busy!!!!!

I enjoyed my maternity leave to the fullest. Olivia is doing wonderful. She is adjusting well to daycare. I am adjusting okay....not to the new price each week. Anyway, Lily Anne is growing and becoming one incredible big sister. She is constantly asking to feed or help with Olivia. The girls are starting to form a bond...I noticed that few mornings ago. Lily Anne was talking to Olivia and Olivia had her full attention on Lily Anne and was laughing and smiling. I could have cried right then.

Potty training....Lily Anne took a HUGE slide backwards after Olivia's arrival. Just this week she is making huge steps forward. Told me that pullups are for babies and demanded she wear panties. So, she has been wonderful in the mornings and evening with going to the potty. LOVE IT!!!! She is even using the potty several times a day at school again. So hopefully we are on the road to success in the potty room.

Olivia....she growing by leaps and bounds daily. She laughs and coos all the time except when hungry or tired. She is rolling machine. She can roll belly to back and back to belly. She found her hands pretty quick....but she found her feet last night. Hard to believe that she is almost 4 months...where is time going????

Going back to work has been harder on me this time than it was with Lily Anne. I am struggling to find my way back to working me. My mind wonders several times a day.... Maternity leave with Lily Anne was about struggling with becoming a mom, new worries, new everything...I wanted normal life again...working!!! But this time, maternity leave was so relaxing, enjoyment, loving my new expanded family. Yes, at first it was hard...but things went normal quickly. I found myself each day not wanting to go back to work. But I am not wired as a Stay at Home Mom gal. So all good things must end.

It has been 25 days....really...19 days....but I struggle each day to sit and remain focused at the task at hand. A million things run through the mind...maybe it is my job, maybe it is me...ie. Le sigh...my mind will catch on and focus eventually.

It truly is the small things that make me happy. It makes each day enjoyable. Lily Anne came home from school yesterday all smiles. Her smiles lights up the room. She has a strong personality....sometimes it gets the best of her, but yesterday she shared her smiles with the camera.

Olivia slept most of yesterday...must be so NICE!! And gave us a pretty good night of sleep. only waking at 12am for food, then 2am for the paci.

oh the paci...I could curse it....but I love that it comforts her.

What more can I say than "sisters". Lily Anne shared her blanket with Olivia this morning. Lily Anne does not share it with anyone or anything. But this was them on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Then it was off to school (daycare) for Lily Anne and work for Daddy. Me and Olivia enjoyed some music and Olivia showing me she is growing up. She is starting to gain some head control and lifting it off the ground.

After all that working out she napped in her swing for the morning. Oh the life!!!

Trying to get life to normal....

The joys of having Two under Two.... life has been so interesting. Actually the house got turned upside down and we are now finding our way to our "new" comfortable life. Some things are easier the second time around and then there are things that are harder than ever.

Lily Anne is adjusting very well to being a big sister. Although we have more meltdowns because she has to share the spot light with everyone (including Mom and Dad). This alone is her biggest adjustment. She loves her sister and kisses her all the time. Lily Anne has really taken to her baby dolls and whatever I do with Olivia she does to her baby dolls. I love watching her play mommy.

Lily Anne talks so much now and repeats almost everything. I am working so hard on her saying "olivia"...she just looks at me funny. So she calls her "O" or Baby.

Olivia is a growing weed. Each day brings a new joy and smile to our faces. She is still fitting into her new born clothes. She is a peanut! She is so different from her sister. She is very calm and chill. (except when hungry, wet, tired or gassy) We have had a time trying to find the right bottle and formula. After a few tries we are on a good road.

Mom and Dad....we are making it and taking each day as it comes. No two days are the same. I am enjoying my maternity leave and taking it easy while I can. Somedays are extremely boring others I barely have time to shower.

I have stopped breastfeeding. Olivia was so much better than Lily Anne ever was at it. But it is just not for me. First, I hate the emotional roller coaster it puts me on. (the constant worry) Second, I hate not being able to go to far or a long time because of the feeding schedule. Third, I love spending time with Lily Anne and I felt like I was always feeding. I tried to pump to see if that would help...nope...so we started to wean. Forth, my boobs are just not the best milks makers...enough said!
**Now with that said...I did love the feeling of being so close to Olivia and the bond.

so for now...Olivia's newborns.

Olivia's Arrival

Olivia Claire made her own arrival on Mother's Day. May 8th at 4:22am.. weighing 5lbs 15ozs, 19in long. She is a little peanut...but brings so much joy to our household.

So, Saturday we chilled out with Lily Anne. Went for a walk in the cool morning, Mich and I talked about the changes that were coming on Wednesday. We played in the back yard and soaked up some sun and Lily Anne enjoyed the kiddie pool.
After dinner and putting Lily Anne down for bed. Mich told me I could relaxed and sleep in on Sunday. He and Lily Anne will be making breakfast and I was so happy! So I took a nice bath and got ready for bed. After the bath, I started having braxton hicks, SO I THOUGHT! But after 45 minutes of them not stopping. I grabbed a bottle of water and some Coco Pebbles...yeah I know. But I thought maybe I need food and water. Nope...nothing was helping. I grabbed my cell and starting timing them. The contractions were all over the place. So I told Mich that I was in some pain. After about a few more, it became unbearable and brought on some tears. I called the Dr. and my parents. Then called my best friend Crystal to sit with Lily Anne (who was sound a sleep) at the house until my parents arrived.

Once at the hospital, the nursed checked me and said "oh, you are about 5cm, you are staying and do you want a epi?" yes! please. So, L&D Room 4... the anth..came in to do the epi, saying "wow she is so calm and queit for someone who is 7/7.5cm" I thought WTH...then I figured the nurse lied to get the epi quicker. Which I did not complain. Well, bust my bubble. The nurse told me once the epi was in that I truly was 7/7.5cm and she did not want me to freak out.

So after 3 hours....Olivia Claire came out as beautiful as can be. We were so proud!!!!

38 weeks and School Photos

How Far Along: 38.5 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 24lbs.... no change

Is your nursery done? as much as it is going to be at the moment.

Are you getting nervous? yes...but more about bringing her home and Lily Anne's reaction. I am excited that she is coming really soon!

Have you dropped yet? yes, OH YES!!!

Any other signs that baby is on their way? I have contractions (to which I refer as Braxton Hicks) that are all over the place. However, I am dilated to 3 or 3.5 cm.

How do you feel in general? I feel pretty good. I am not sleeping very much at night but I wake up in a good mood...GO FIGURE.

What are you getting the most excited about? to actually have her in my arms.

Any big fears or concerns? how will Lily Anne adjust once we are all home. Having a newborn again scares me a little.

What is in your hospital bag? cord blood kit, her coming home outfit, pjs for me and pjs for Mich.... need to work on the rest.

Are you exercising? Yup, about 2 miles of walking at night. I have since the start...except on bad weather days.

How many more days until D-Day? um.... ?? but Eviction day is May 11th at 5:30am

What are you doing to keep yourself occupied if you’re on leave already? I am still working! keeps my mind distracted.

School photos.... the joys of them. This year they had Teddy Bear Portraits do them. I am not impressed at all. First they are very EXPENSIVE!!!! Second, you get to view them at the center and you must purchase on the spot. Um, no thanks! For $150...you can keep the packet you put together!

Is your nursery done? 75%.... I working a little on it each night after Lily Anne goes to bed. It is really hard to work on it with her undoing things! I know she just wants to help....but oh my...

What is your favorite piece of baby gear that you've purchased? Our glider.... I moved it from Lily Anne room. (she got a new comfy chair...it is really nice too)

Which stroller did you buy? Chicco.

How many inches around is that bump? I have never measured.

36 weeks and updates

So we had our 36 week appt yesterday. We had another growth u/s to check everything because I am measuring small. (although I feel freaking huge)

So... Olivia is measuring 5lb 15oz. My fluid level is low (borderline at 6.5cm)...anything below 5cm in LOW.

**so we have another u/s schedule for May 4th at 38 weeks.**

Me... BP was back to normal, no protein this time (thank goodness for both!) gained 2lbs. Not bad! 1st Internal (yucky): Olivia is really low! and I am 1 cm. Both mean nothing to me!

Lily Anne....where does one start with her? She has become my chatter box! I AM SO GLAD TO HEAR HER TALKING!!!! I do have to really listen to figure some of it out...but some words are so clear. She also has started to play mommy and me. Loves her baby dolls and is so sweet to them. Fun to watch her play and not notice that I am watching.

Now, the ugly....She is becoming INDEPENDENT!!! Wants to do everything herself. Gets really mad when she can not. I offer to help and seems to make matters worse. Usually ends up with both of us mad. She also had her first session in TIME OUT on Sunday afternoon. Nothing was making her listen and all she wanted to do was throw stuff and scream. This behavior does not work in our household. So I resorted to time out and it worked. I chillled out for a minute, she screamed...but stayed there. When her minute was up we talked and gave hugs and kisses. Lily Anne was great for the rest of the evening! SHOCKED!!!

35 weeks. hum....

How Far Along: 35 weeks and several days.... but 30 days to go!!! How much does baby weigh: most like 4lbs... I know what all the literature says... 5 to 6lbs. But seriously Lily Anne was on born at 6lbs (39 weeks)...so small babies! Maternity clothes: yes 100% but I am growing tired of wearing the same thing! Cravings: OJ... Sleep: what is sleep? I spend the night....up and down. Bathroom, get comfy, roll due to hips, sleep.... then repeat 2 hours later. Movement: it is a daily and nightly battle with her. She is all over the place....boxing ring or soccer field.... Belly button in or out: Innie! What I miss: not being so tired lately. What I'm looking forward to: Next Wednesday. Movement: Lots of it. I am enjoying 90% of the time.

Sleep: Some nights are really good others...I am not sure I sleep.

Symptoms: I am still struggling with heartburn! it is just nutz

What I Miss: being able to move quickly, a nice glass of wine!!

Best Moment of the week: we got the artwork yesterday! Now to funish the nursery this weekend hopefully.

What I am looking forward to: April 20th! I am having another u/s in 3d to check on Olivia. I am ready to see her one last time!

Where do we put all the thoughts that randomly run through your head?

I such a scatter brain lately... give me a topic or a thought and after about 5 minutes I will forget and have moved on. The perfect example on my daily drive to work...I swear my brain drives at 15o mph...but my true thought process... -145%. So that leaves me with about 5% of true brain function, right?

The nursery not started is starting to bug the heck out of me...even though my mom is suppose to come this weekend to help. I am stressed about it now. I need to get in gear, yet I have very little desire or time. Maybe a to do list will help me?

One more week of work ....then it is going to be 8 glorious days at the beach!!! I really can not wait! Even though I may end up looking like a beach whale. But seriously after this week...I will take it and zip my mouth.

Do you ever sit in traffic and look at other drivers? yesterday I watched a man pick his nose, a girl singing and dancing while at a light...thinking mercy me. I am sure I look wonderful at times too. Kinda like the walmart emails you get at random times.... yet we all laugh.

My mind is starting to roll with the thoughts.... Wow, we are fixing to be a family of 4 plus a dog. I have gone from Me, myself and I to Mich and I, then Mich, Lisa and Zoe (dog), then a blessing to a family of Mich, Lisa, Lily Anne and Zoe. Now I am sitting here about 8 weeks away from Mich, Lisa, Lily Anne, OLIVIA, and Zoe. Holy cow!! I do wonder about her arrival. I am such a planner....I had a planned induction with Lily Anne. I had a wonderful experience and would love a redo. However, I think I want to wait til my due date...I THINK.

Why do Girl Scout cookies have to be so good? I have to buy them every year. 2 boxes of Samoas, 2 boxes of Thin mints, and 2 boxes of Tagalongs. Usually, Mich and I share the thin mints, but the Samoas are mine and the Tagalongs are Mich's. Haha....Mich gave a Tagalong to Lily Anne...winner. Lily Anne finished that cookie in no time..."more" she says. Mich is going to have to share that next box. My guilty grin...I get all of my cookies!!

31 Weeks

SO..... here we are at 31 weeks and some days. I am getting to the tired of being tired point. LAst night my hips decided to light me on fire. Not cool when you want to go to sleep. We are going to try to work on the nursery this weekend. My parents are suppose to come down and help paint....so we will see. I am trying to envision what painting with a active TODDLER around. I will post before and after photos at some point.

Lily Anne is doing wonderful and fully recovered from last weeks mess. We had a great weekend of warm weather and plenty of sunshine. So, we took Lily Anne to the park for running and playing on the playground. She loved every minute of it.

30 weeks and a sick munchkin!

We had a fun weekend with my sister and her twins (Sam and Haley) visiting us! Even with 7 years difference they played as if they were all the same age. Sam is so sweet to Lily Anne and protects her like no tomorrow. Haley is just now getting into Lily Anne especially since they can play dolls together. Thanks to Haley for sharing her American Girl Dolls. Liy Anne was in love with them....but this mommy is NO WHERE NEAR READY TO SHELL $100+ for a American Girl Doll.

Despite the rain and yucky weather....We brought the outside to the inside.

Upon request from Nana and Grandpa....a new updated photo of the 3 grandchildren.... shocking it will soon be 4 grandbabies. My mom (nana) is so excited about it.

Lily Anne is growing up so fast on me...and her hair is really starting to come in. Even growing in the length. Hopefully one day she will have enough for a pontail or enough to hold a bow.

Well.... After a wonderful weekend....but not so great in the sleeping area. I was very glad to have my sister come rescue my sanity this weekend. Lily Anne decided sleep was completely over rated and/or not needed. By Sunday evening she was completely ill! I was so hopeful that sunday night she would sleep good.... NOT!!! she whinning pretty much all night. Mich and I would go check on her and she would be a sleep but whinning.... I was clueless.

Monday she woke up extra early 5:30am! Seemed okay just moody. Off to daycare she went and off to a dr appt for me. Monday night....all heck broke lose. She was completely off....moody, crying, extra needy...and completely refused to eat. So, off we went to the after hours.

First they thought Strep throat....but after me telling them about the rash that appeared out of nowhere Saturday night, and that the woke up completely soaked with sweat. Lovely....Lily Anne has Hand Foot Mouth disease.... GREAT! it is completely viral...so no meds...just waiting game.

I hate waiting games. So I got to stay at home with her on Tuesday and Wednesday....I think she decided that it would be a great time to catch up on all the sleep she missed....with 2 really good naps with me on the recliner.

I sure did love the extra snuggles and love... and especially her letting me sit in the recliner with her when I was completely exhausted myself.

Sorry no belly picture this week....

We had a dr appt on Monday. Olivia seesm to be measuring right on track with a heart rate of 147. She has been so active lately....although, I do love feeling her. Her favorite place to hang out lately is on my right side in the ribe cage.

My poor body is definitely beginning to feel the effects of being pregnant. I am so tired at night and chasing Lily Anne and getting up and down off the floor is getting harder and harder.

Nursery progress....somebody needs to slap me....because we are not accomplishing anything lately. My mom says she is coming next week to paint...but that is still not 100% for sure. I have bought the paint. The furniture is at our house...just in boxes. I keep telling my self I have 10 weeks to go...plenty of time. But it just seems to be going so fast!

shaking my head....why!!!!

So, yesterday for lunch I stopped by the Motherhood store...yes, I have to buy a swim suit (while pregnant). I mean swim suit shopping is already horrible as is...but do it while pregnant is even worse.

so....my selection to try on...

after looking in the mirror, I thought this is complete shame! Not only are you fat looking but I am pale white as can be!

I know you are thinkig you are due in May, why are you buying a swim suit in March? Well, Mich and I are going to the beach at the end of the month for a week. I am really look forward to the rest and relaxation. We asked my parents to come with us...so this is going to fun for Lily Anne too.

So, beach trip ---> means you must buy a swim suit. After much debate... I decided on this one.

Picked up two shirts and a pj bottoms....and out the door I went. I felt okay with the purchase. Now I just have to be brave enough in three weeks to put it on!

Funny, my coworker loved the suit and told me to think about it this way. At least you do not have to suck you tummy in, worry about being fat...who cares you are pregnant and no one really can say wow how fat are you.

Now, for the pale skin factor....that complete genetics!

Lily Anne has been doing really wonderful, with the exception of a few nights lately. Yesterday I went to pick her up for Daycare and her teachers said she peed in the potty! WHOA!!! Awesome job! She will sit on the pooty at school but not pee. That news was big progress. On the homefront she is doing pretty good with potty training. The mornings are her best. She gets up pees and poops....then eats breakfast. Sometime she will pee afterwards sometime not. But only using one pullup in the mornings!

But the 2nd big thing...when I walked into the room yesterday....(before the teachers comment)....Lily Anne got upp from story time out her lovey in her cabinet and gave me a hug. I was so proud of her!!!

Bad Days = Bad Nights

I am going to need tooth picks for my eyes by 3pm!

Lily Anne did not really have a good day yesterday or night!Yesterday, I took her to daycare and told her teacher that her lovey was in the bag washed and the clothes that she wore home on friday. She said okay.

***Lily Anne is very attached to her lovey...she needs it to sleep and feel secure.***

Anyway, Mich went to pick her up yesterday and Lily Anne was screaming! Mich tried to figure out what happened...she was biten by a kid...her nose has a boo boo on it... and she is crying. So her afternoon teacher said she did not do very well today with no lovey. Mich's eyes about popped.... He told them I brought it and told the morning teacher. Well short story they found it.

Mich called me on my way home to let me know....so I was prepared for a extra whinning little girl. So my cranky baby was happy to see us last night and was quite a blabbling toddler...blabbling sounds after sounds....Then it came time for bed and the meltdown from the horrible day occurs.

Well, off to sleep .... 3:45am...Lily Anne decides it is a great time to wake up. I gave her 15 minutes...before I even moved. Normally if I hear something out of her it is her dreaming....or she wakes up screaming. I thought...you are just whimpering...then it turns into screams. So up I go. I sit int he rocking chair with...only to listen to her talk to me. Seriously Lily Anne mommy really wants to sleep right now...and we can talk in the AM. She finally settles down and falls back to sleep around 5am....I am wide awake and so is Olivia in my belly! this is just lovely and unfair!!!

5;30 I think I managed to close my eyes...unitl I hear "babe, you okay"....Mich was coming to check on us and see if we could swap. But I opted to snuggle my sleeping child for the moment. But at 6:30am I needed to start getting ready for the day of work. YUCK... and I am tired already!

I managed to sneak out of the recliner and leave Lily Anne sleeping in it. Should have taken a photo...but no way in heck was I going to wake her with the flash.

28 weeks..and some othe stuff

28 weeks and some days. 3rd trimester....how did time fly??? Finally Olivia decides to have growth spurt and make me look pregnant! Although, I am feeling very pregnant lately. I have had some major pain going on for the past week. I know it is Round Ligament...but seriously it hurts. I never had this stuff with Lily Anne and I am thankful. Olivia has been so active, rolling and kicking all day and night. I think she is going to give quite a run for my money.

I am really looking forward to meeting her more and more each day. I wonder how Lily Anne will adjust, how will Mich, the dog....wait or ME for that matter. Somedays I am freaking out about having two little ones, then others I am like this is going to be fun.

No survey this week...I have something better!!! 4d u/s photo!

We had such a great u/s yesterday. Olivia was active and awake. Plus she has finally made it to the vertex (head down) postion. Wohoo!!! We got some great photos and she looks a lot like her big sister. Oh and the big kicker...she sucks her thumb too! Wonderful...TWO thumb suckers.

Lily Anne turned 19 mos this past Tuesday! She is getting to be such a ham. Potty Training has been a great success and Lily Anne is making huge progress with each day. I could not be mroe proud of her and all that she is accomplishing in such a short time.

Also, she is doing wonderful at the new daycare. She is finally walking into her class and barely crying. So I would say success here too!

I think all the change has helped her with her personality that is blooming on a daily basis. She learning new words and repeating more and more. I am constantly working on this with her and trying to get her to use her words.

27 weeks and Day #3

Maternity Clothes: pants yes, top some here and there.

Gender: Girl - Olivia Claire

Movement: wow....she is more active than Lily Anne was. I feel her all the time. Although strange I am only feeling movement below my belly button....nothing up top. I am wondering if she is still transverse.

Sleep: benadryl has been my best friend lately...with my running nose and watering eyes...not to mention it puts me to sleep.

Symptoms: OMG the HEEARTBURN!! Seriously I am really struggling with it lately. Somedays are better than others. But when it hits, I need to run to the nearest fire hydrant...because this has got to be doing some damage.

What I Miss: being heartburn free. I have so much more respect for those who suffer on a daily basis!

Best Moment of the week: I guess making it to 3rd tri.

What I am looking forward to: the 4D ultra sound next Wednesday...I am really excited to see what she looks like. Lily Anne's was pretty much right on!

DAY #2 WRAP UP: I picked her up and she was a little more fussy than usual but she seemed to have a good day. She is definitely becoming aware of the potty thing. Because last night she had a uh-oh look and ran to the bathroom. It was a little late but it is progress on her learning the whole potty thing is about. I am proud!

Day #3: Mich says she walked to her classroom as she did yesterday. She cried just a little bit. Mich seemed to think she is getting better with it. I am going to give a good two weeks.

New Daycare

Day #1:

Mich and I tackled this hurdle together. Lily Anne woke up bright eyed and happy... I thought Oh boy! But we got to the center and Lily Anne was really calm and smiling. Lily Anne waved to some teachers in the front area. Off we went to her new classroom....Lily Anne just looked around and was like seriously?!?! After going over the rules and introduction....it was time to let go. It was hard becuase Lily Anne decided...okay now cry and bring out the big tears. We left the room quietly. My heart was a littl torn at the moment.

We had to sign some forms in the front office...but right before we left Mich walked down the hallway and sneaked a small peek at Lily Anne ...NOT crying anymore but staying close to a teacher.

........

So after a full day and lot of activity and a Valentine's day party.....Lily Anne was happy to see daddy at the door to pick her up. The teachers said she did really good and sat on the potty several times and no tears. Lily Anne did keep her lovey attached to her hand all day...but as she becomes more comfortable she will let her lovey go.

........

Day #2: Mich called and told me she did really well. She walked to her room and took off her jacket. Even put it in her cubby. She did cry when the teacher came to walk her to circle time. Hopefully this will continue to get better and better!

26 weeks...Lily Anne dr appt

Gender: Girl - Olivia Claire

Movement: All the time lately! I love feeling her move

Sleep: if I take a benadryl...I can sleep...but heartburn is kicking me in the butt!

Symptoms: DARN the HEARTBURN!! OMG, I thought it was bad with Lily Anne....this pregnancy I am dying 24 hours aday....that is with all the TUMs and Medication I can taek in a 24 hour period!

* I drank a huge glass of whole milk trying to make it go away last night...it did long enough for me to get to sleep!

Cravings: nothing lately...I am actually becoming scared to eat because my heartburn is bad.

What I Miss: not really sure...

Best Moment this week: Lily Anne peed in the potty.. I think be mistake but I will take it. Oh wait this is suppose to be about pregnancy....um... nothing is coming to mind...

What I am looking forward to: the 4D ultra sound on Feb 23rd! I can not wait to see how much she has grown and what she looks like....or who for that matter.

Lily Anne Update!!!

It has been a stressful week with all the stuff going on... moving the house around to make room for the new nursery, dr appt's, and getting Lily Anne ready for a the big move in daycare.

So, lets see here...Lily Anne has been a super helper when it come moving furniture and stuff around the house to empty Olivia's future room. Now we just have to plan a day to paint it.

Lily Anne had her 18mo check up...she did awesome. She is 33.5in tall and weighs 23lbs! Tall and skinny. We talked about potty training and was told we could try it now or wait. We are deciding to go with the 'lets try"...Lily Anne is pullign her pants down and saying dirty to me all the time. So, i think she is getting ready. Pulling out the potty she got for Christmas.

Yeah, the daycare.....We are moving Lily Anne to a new location same Center...but different location. It has put me in a high anxiety related state....I am constantly questionly if it is right. I know in the long run it will be the best...but it first few days of screams that is going to have me saying why I am doing this again!?!?

I love her current center and know I will love her new one....but I am excited that her new classroom will help with the potty training...(at I am crossing my fingers). She moves to the toddler A! no baby classrooms any more.... Lily Anne will be doing and learning so many new things and hopefully her word out put will increase.

Alright til Monday...the big switch day!!

25 weeks

Symptoms: none....I am hoping it stays that way!

Cravings: OJ, Fruit and anything sweet. The sweet is non-stop...although I am doing good 90% of the time to say NO! ( no change!)

Sleep: horrible: I am stuck with a another darn cold!

Movement: Lots! the baby is quite a mover!!!

Belly button in or out: Innie.

What I miss: Happy hour....a glass of wine with dinner....

What I'm looking forward to: making it through this month!

Milestone: making it past the v-day!!!

18 months....and the attack of the FLU!

Lily Anne turned 18 months this past Saturday. Time truly does not stand still. Nana and Grandpa came to visit and play. Then Sunday Mom and Dad got to enjoy a night off while Nana babysat. Mich and I went to see The Blue Man Group at the Fox. It was a completely awesome show. However, we came home to a sick toddler.

After a day of high fevers and no sleep I took Lily Anne to the DR. Lovely we got a confirmed case of FLU! YUCK!!! (And yes, we ALL got the vaccine!) So this week was filled with lots of snuggles and love for Lily Anne.

23 Weeks

Sleep: Sleep is going really good in our house. However, here lately Olivia is definitely making it very clear that she does not like mom sleeping on her stomach or back! (which seems to be the most comforting for me!)

Movement: it is a daily and nightly battel with her. She is all over the place....boxing ring or soccer field....

Belly button in or out: Innie!

What I miss: Happy hour....a glass of wine with dinner....ability just to get up and go! Not having to pee every five minutes....what happened to the 2nd tri relief from that symptom?

What I'm looking forward to: the Blue Man Gropu concert on Sunday night, Monday off from work...but not from removing furniture from one room and shifting things around the house.

Milestone: I am further a long than I have weeks to go!

Yeah that is what is going on inside!!!!

It is fight to see who can win....and generally she does by me getting up and moving to make room or whatever she wants. The wakeup call I received last night (let me rephrase...in the wee morning hours) at 3:15am from the inside was not cool! It took me nearly a hour to get back to sleep only to have the alarm go off at 6:30am. I saying hands down that is insane!

Olivia: your sister did not beat mommy from the inside and the same rule will apply to you too!

About a hour after I posted yesterday....the baby store called to tell me that Olivia's furniture was in!! WTH???? your said it would 6-12 weeks....I was banking on that time. Not coming in 3 weeks after I ordered! Causing a mini freakout moment....Olivia's nursery is a still 100% in use guest bedroom! Nothing done...NOTHING!!!

Roundup and 21 weeks

Lily Anne and her 4 wheeler! She loves to ride on it....generally zooming away from me. Man she stole all my energy. But I love that is becoming so independent and waiting to become a little girl.

Yes even enough hair to put a bow in it....FINALLY!!!! I love my little red head!

21 Weeks.....

So here we are at 21 weeks 4 days....

So we finally decided a name for Baby #2. Olivia Claire We could not agree on a lot of names...but this one we both fell in love with and now are ready to say she officially has a name!

There is so much to do in the next 18 weeks and a few days... We have not started on anything in the house to make room for another baby. I have ordered her baby bedding...and went today at lunch to pick up a few paint samples.

We placed the order for the furniture....that is suppose to be here in 6-12 weeks...so between now and then we have to empty a room and shuffle that stuff to other places in the house. Seems so simple in writing....but darn!

Christmas Roundup and 20 weeks

So Christmas morning at our house came.... 9;30am...Lily Anne is still passed out in the bed. yes still!!! Enough that I turned on all the lights, took photos....and still had to wake her up! She was sleeping so hard....pooor thing.

So after waking up Lily Anne .... and the view from the top of the stairs. All the santa goodies!

Santa left Lily Anne a cool table and chairs with crayons and a doodle pad. She has played nonstop since getting it! It also has been my saving grace at night when I am trying to cook. Lily Anne will color for quite a while.

Then it was off to discover the mini magna doodle and megablock bus. Then all the stocking stuf.

Then we headed to visit Mich's Family for the Christmas dinner. Lily Anne was quite a ham!

Cravings: OJ, Fruit and anything sweet. The sweet is non-stop...although I am doing good 90% of the time to say NO! ( no change!)

Sleep: Sleep is going really good in our house.

Movement: Lots! the baby is quite a mover!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas telling family! We have known for a little bit but wanted to share with family on Christmas before telling the world. We are very excited about another girl aka a little sister for Lily Anne. We are working on finding a name for "baby#2". We had a boy name ready but have been struggling to find a girl name that we both are in love with.

double strollers - City Select

I am dreaming of this stroller "City Select" (website). I love my Chicco single one....but now that I have to think about TWO. I have been researching them all. Some are budget friendly and some are WHOA!!! The City Select is a little budget WHOA...but I am really liking the ability do so many options... 17 to be exact. I know I will not use all 17 but this is one stroller that can go as a single to a double and then back to a single with ease. That ability is very appealing to me.

Now convincing Mich to agree with me....any ideas?

Maternity clothes: Yes for pants. But my tops are my regular ones.

Symptoms: I am still having a few bouts of m/s. Which is driving me crazy!

Cravings: OJ, Fruit and anything sweet. The sweet is non-stop...although I am doing good 90% of the time to say NO! ( no change!)

Sleep: Sleep is going really good in our house.

Movement: I ahve few movements here and there.... super exciting. This is my favorite part of being pregnant.

Lily Anne: 16 and 1/2 months!

MERCY ME! I can not believe we are knocking on 1 1/2's door. It feels like yesterday that she was born... She has been showing lots of new talents. She loves to clean the house with me. (Lets hope that habit stays around) Everything is so much fun for her...she loves outside more than ever. Although, with the weather we have had to bring the outside to the inside.

She has finally learned how to get herself on the couch to sit all by herself.... Loves Curius George....it is the only TV show that she has taken any kind of liking too. Which is kinda nice. Dolls seem to have made its way into playing line now. I am trying to play baby with her and get her kinda ready for spring. Although I am not sure how to officially do this.

Sunday we had a friend come over take our photo for the Christmas card. Lily Anne was so cute in her Tutu! She can even twirl around in it!

OH LA LA!! I am in love with again this here. Shutterfly has out done themselves. There are way to many too that I loved. Once we got a great photo....then the hunt was on. We settled on a classic and simple look. Shutterfly was amazing on the editing skills and simplicity on the ordering system. Now I can not wait to get them in the mail. How far along: 15 weeks today....

Total weight gain: none .... I am still holding (crossing my fingers this last just a little longer)

How much does baby weigh: not sure....but what to expect says:
"Your baby is as long as four and a half inches right now, and weighs a bit over two ounces. Hold a large navel orange in your hand — that's how big your little darlin' is."

Maternity clothes: not 100% needed but for comfort reasons YES!....I am sporting some pants!

Symptoms: none lately, thank you m/s for leaving my body.

Cravings: OJ, Fruit and anything sweet. The sweet is non-stop...although I am doing good 90% of the time to say NO!

Sleep: I sleep great at night...but I wake up as if I never went to sleep! I am still struggling with a runny nose (this is 4.5 weeks now)

Movement: none....hopefully soon though!

Christmas Cards - Shutterfly

Every year I search for the best photo to include in our yearly christmas cards. Last year I was happy to have the perfect picture for the perfect card. Then finding the right place to order them. Shutterfly has been the winner each time.

I can not say enough good things about Shutterfly. My family has enjoyed beginning able to view, download, and even order prints from my photo storage site. My first experience sold me for life....I ordered Lily Anne's birth annoucements on stationary cards and results were better than anything I had ever ordered. I loved it on the thick paper and knew it was definitely a place I would order again. Since, then I have ordered prints and photobooks. The photobooks are neat little gifts if you are looking for that extra personal touch.

So, for 2010 I find myself once again dreaming of cards.... Shutterfly's photo cards. This are at the top of my list right now.

I might even consider making a photo calendar to put on my desk or to give to grandparents for Christmas. Oh, the decisions, so many with Shutterfly's photo gift selection. The possibilities are endless with such a great site!

Seems strange to think that it has been 4 years since our "I do's". The day was beautiful and everything was perfect.... Now, I am more in love with him and have more respect for him than I have ever felt. He is my rock and the center of my family.

Weekend Away

Feeling so relaxed and refreshed after our wonderful weekend anniversary adventure. Mich planned a nice semi-romantic and relaxing weekend for a 4 year anniversary treat. He totally out did himself!

So we drove to my moms, she was going to be Lily Anne's babysitter. Since this would be the first time we have ever left her overnight with anyone. I was a little nervous but so looking forward to a break from reality.

Saturday we woke up and got our day started with a little shopping then checked into the hotel! I love Westin Hotels....I love the treatment of the staff and the rooms are always so cozy! Plus, the beds are truly as heavenly as they can be.

Then it was off to dinner at the Sun Dial.....oh the view was wonderful and the food was divine!

After a wonderful dinner, we headed to the Cirque Du Soleil: OVO.....

I must say I love Cirque Du Soliel shows! They transport you into another world for 2 hours...I awe struck at each show I have seen!

So, Monday..... Dr appt time... Woohoo! Everythign looks like it is on track. After a few minutes of searching Dr. Pridgen (whom I love) found the beautiful little heart beating.... happily beating at 158! Music to my ears. So there you have my lovely weekend.

PS....Lily Anne did fabuilous at Nana's and Grandpa'S!

Lily Anne and her cheesy grins! I could eat them up all day! Last night she was all smiles....finally. Tuesday was a rough day for her...the day after her 15 month appt with shots. I still hate that they make her feel like crap..and always have. I am happy to say she got a good report. She weighs 22lb 6ozs (40%), and is 32.5inches (98%). She is growing up on me so fast.

How far along: 12 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain: none .... so far!

How much does baby weigh: not sure....but what to expect says:
"What's up with your baby? Well, besides being as large as a peach now, that big old noggin of hers is now about half the size of her crown-to-rump length (that’s one reason why your little peach looks more like an alien from outer space at this point). By the time you give birth, her body will catch up, measuring three-quarters of her total size. What else is going on in there? Tiny bones are beginning to form in her arms and legs, the intestines are beginning to move from the umbilical cord to the abdomen, and the vocal cords are well under construction (the first step toward saying, "I love you, Mommy!"). And because she can move her arms and legs in a jerky fashion, she may be able to get her thumb into her mouth (a habit that may come in handy for self-soothing when she’s a newborn). "

Maternity clothes: somedays, I pull out the pants...then the next I can get into my normal pants. The bloat seems to be going away for the moment.

Symptoms: Just days of nausea and bloat!

Cravings: Orange Juice! I literally can go through a gallon every 2 days! I did the same thing with Lily Anne. I have to buy 6 1-gallon jugs to keep with my habit! My mom bought 5 jugs.

Sleep: it is wonderful...I am in bed shortly after Lily Anne. Yup, I am exciting! However, the trip to the bathroom are crazy but very do-able. However, the past two nights, I have slept horribly since I have a nice fun COLD!

Best moment this week: Friday! I am working a 3/4 day....then going home to pack. Me and Mich are headed to Atlanta for Adult weekend. Lily Anne will staying at Nana's and Grandpa's....I am a little nervous...because this our first time ever leaving her overnight.

Movement: none....that is okay for now.

Belly button in or out: Innie. I think it will be there until the end. It never pop'ed out with Lily Anne.

What I miss: Happy hour....a glass of wine with dinner....

What I'm looking forward to: This weekend! and Monday...Appt #2! I am hoping all goes well

about being a Big Sister...

I think the pictures just about sum it up! Although, I do not think she totally understands it fully...but her smile is wonderful to see!

We are so blessed and thrilled to be expecting baby #2!! We absolutely love being parents and can't imagine our lives without Lily Anne. Baby #2 is due around May 13th, 2011!!!

Last week at my 1st ob appt we were able to get a sneak peak at how baby#2 is doing. I must say I was rather shocked to see such beautiful sight! Alot different from my 1st ultra sound with Lily Anne. just amazing!

Other than just being super tired and a bit nauseated at times things are going very good!

I always thought it was funny when parents bought nice shoes for their toddlers. How do you get your money worth out of them?

Well, become a parent and the thought changes to ... you need good shoes on your kids feet, because they walk, RUN, play and need to be protected. Lily Anne is out growing her stride rite sandals and her stride rite walkers. Bittersweet....so on my journey tonight I came across these. CUTE!!! And I love them because they are velcro. Mercy because sitting Lily Anne down long enough to get her shoes tied....is a JOKE.

Now I just need to find a pair for her to wear with dresses and then one for church. But time is running out tonight. So, I am off to bed.

To Worry or Not to Worry

Lily Anne had her 4 month check up with the ENT today. She failed her pressure test! Which means one or two things....the tubes are blocked or they have fallen out. After talking with the DR...they were clogged. So as painful as it was....Mich sat there with Lily Anne screaming while they unclogged the tubes. The nurse asked several questions and to see what are concerns we have. Mich and I both are a little concerned with her in the speech development area. While she can say dada (all the time) and mama (sometimes)....it concerns me that she has not learned more. We say words and sounds to her all the time and try to get her to repeat.

Her daycare teachers told me they work with the basics in her classroom of ABC, RED, BLUE, YELLOW, and 123. Through play, environment, and music and dance.

The nurse and DR told us not to panic that we will see some delay in speech because of all the infections.... But this mom can not wonder should I be worried! I know she can hear us! Just need more working time with her.

OOPS!

Sorry, life has been very hectic around here the past two weeks. We enjoyed our labor day weekend with dinner with friends, birthday party, and after at the pool. Very relaxing. For a short weeek last week it was not all that short....crazy! This past weekend was about staying close to home and chilling out. Dinner with friends was a must, though.

Looking forward to this weekend....goign home to my parents and to FOOTBALL season. We did nto go to the opening game.

darn....I so failed this past couple of days on the blog challenge.

We had a great weekend relaxing and running errands. Monday Lily Anne enjoyed the new classroom and a new food of cheeseburger bites. Her teachers said she did wonderful and wanted seconds. Alrighty then! Tuesday....humm...HORRIBLE. She work up with the nasty crusty eyes! PINK EYE and COLD. Wonderful...she was pretty good with me yesterday. Although, I was not 100%...being that I have cold too.

so a sick baby + sick mommy at home = 50% a good day. Lily Anne was a trooper. However, last night got the best of her..45 minutes of sleep. WHOA!!

so a sick mommy, baby and a very tired daddy = complete failure!

I ended up calling my mom at 2:30am asking for a little support and help. Well, I got the wonderful voice of soothing mom....but she refused to come help me. (I did not ask her to right then, but in the morning to help during the day) Seriously hurt my feelings! I am RARELY call her for help...but she can run and help my sister and the twins at the drop of the dime...but I get nothing!!!!! But, "I sorry but you moved away". OH MY FREAKING DEAR~ I am 1:35 minutes away.

Oh well....oops Lily Anne is up...

Thankful Thursday…

I am thankful for my family, my husband, my daughter. Each one has played such a huge role in life the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I love my daughter more than life! “ To wear your heart on the outside of your body”….is a complete understatement of motherhood. I can say that she is my life and let anyone do something wrong….the fire in my soul will haunt you. I have never been so proud of something that I help create. She is very reason I say, “yes, she is mine.” Although, her temper can make me crazy and think hello, I begged for this…explain to me why!!

My husband…best friend, roommate, lover, and my crutch! He has swept me off my feet from day one. I am so proud of him. He supports me when I am at my nasty PMS self to my loving ways. Yes, there are moments when we fight, exchange hurtful words, say “I am done”….except we keep standing there arguing it out. Then like two kids makeup and say I love you no matter what.

My family, where to start. My mom and I are so much alike we pick fights for fun. My dad, he is a huge teddy bear and heart of gold. My sister, the memories, jokes…OMG she is my lifesaver! I am who I am because of them. I love them all and would not know what to do if they were not there. I am a little over 2 hours away from my family. Some days I am thanking god for the miles between, then there are the days where I would like to stop in for a quick hello or dinner.

So much to be thankful for!!!

On the home front….things are good! Lily Anne has found that she has a belly and will show anyone even the dog!!!

We - Woddler...

Lily Anne is moving into her new classroom this week. She is adjusting quite well to the new surroundings, schedule, and friends.

I really stressed out about the classroom transition from crawlers to pre-walkers. Lily Anne had it rough for about a week. Screaming when I dropped her off, Mommy not understanding or liking the new schedule, wondering why must she move rooms, and transitioning from 2 naps to 1 nap a day. What were they thinking!!! (also, probably did not help that we just came back from vacation) I loved the crawlers room and teachers. Since then, I have grown to love her teachers in the pre-walking classroom and Lily Anne has too. I know it is time for her to step up to the next room, but I hate saying good bye!

so what is a wee-wobblers? you must be 1yr, walking, on table food, and Sippy cups
In this classroom....she will be
Eating at a table
Learning folks and spoons
Sleeping on a nap mat (no more cribs)
Learning sign language, dance, music and art.

Yesterday, I brought home artwork of blue bubbles! Finger painting! I really have to give it to her teachers and the daycare. The center works so hard to keep the kids going and keeps them one step ahead on the milestones. The teachers are constantly working with each child and their needs.

Sleeping on a nap mat....I am still pondering this.. How do you get 11 kids on their mats, asleep and stay there? I haven’t a clue. But when I pop over for "surprise visit” during my lunch, sure enough the whole center (minus the infant room and crawlers) sleeping peacefully with no tears or sounds. Just the sweet soft sounds of lullabies playing over the speakers.

Never say Never

When I was pregnant I would always say, "i am never going to..."

Co-sleeping: Still to this day I have stuck to my guns, although there have been nights and mornings where I will bring her downstairs.

Staying out late: Still going strong, we are ususally home by Lily Anne's bedtime. I really hate to see kids out at Wal-mart or the grocery store after 10 or 11.

Arguing infront of Lily Anne: FAIL. But we do make up infront of her, and tell we love her. I am guessing she see conflict and resolution

The list could go on for days! I really do try to keep a balance of the good and bad.

So the left ear tube has fallen out. The right is still in. Funny! The on-call ped said opposite. Who do you believe? I believe the ENT any day.

YEAH RIGHT!

I am really beginnging to wonder about it all! We are on one BIG roller coaster. I would really like to take the exit lane instead of getting back on.

The day after Lily Anne's party she ended up with a nasty eye infection and a ear infection. However, I was not happy it....but happy with the fact that the tubes in ther ears were working the ear infection was draining out. (gross I know...but reality is gross). Oral meds, eye drops, and ear drops were in full working order. All was well in the household...so we thought.

This weekend started it all over again. Except it brought fevers, cranky, yucky baby! I thought just a cold, since her ear wer not draining except for Sunday she spiked a lovely 103 fever. Off to the after hour peds. Why the HELL did I say it was so nice not having to visit the peds office.

So now we have a double ear infection (although NO drainage)AND the DR thinks her tube has fallen out. SERIOUSLY!!! Dr (not her normal one) told us here is her meds and come back if you so not showing improvement in 2 or 3 days. Definitely come back in 2 weeks for a follow-up. Your normal Dr will most likely have you follow up with you ENT then. UM>>>nah, so yesterday we called the ENT office told them what is going on...Appt tomorrow at 11:40. I am a little bummed out...but I am hopeful that this will be over soon.

Lily Anne was a trooper yesterday. She stayed at home all day with daddy. I am so proud of him. As much as he gets on my nerves I can not live without him. He is such a great dad and husband.

UGH....sighs.

It has been so hot here. The heat index is well of 100 each day...and looks like we are not going to see any relieve anytime soon. I have been the worst about walking evening since the heat started. I can barely make around the block without feeling yucky. Last night, I decided...enough is enough... Lily Anne outside we go. Water, toys and camera in tow.

How has one year passed by so fast? Considering father time never sleeps or does not slow down...makes me sad.

Lily Anne had a wondeful 1st birthday. We celebrated this past Saturday with family and friends. Lily Anne lived her party to the fullest. Being the center of attention was her favortie part of the party.

Seriously where has the last 11 months gone?

Answer: I haven't a clue....but I have a beautiful orange hair child to tell me each morning!

Hugs and kisses every morning....(not every day has been wonderful) but they have been a adventure that has taught me so much about patience and thankfulness.

I put her birthday invites in the mail today....I just about cried. Is it really time? I have thought about this day alot lately. I have been working on project after project for her party. They are not huge projects, but none the less I am trying. I can not wait to see everything all together. (yes, same excitement as my wedding...who would have thought) My mom is making her dress for the day, although she is not telling me much about it, I know it will be awesome. She is also doing the cake/cakes, my super mom.

Seriously....I am really mad at you! Last night I was planning on a night RESTFUL sleep, however, you decided that was a huge request.

You ruined my perfectly laided out dinner of steaks on Tuesday night ....ended up for spaghetti.

Yes, we had thunder storms! I love/hate them. I love to sit on the back porch and watch one roll in. I love the sounds and watching the lighting bolts. I hate them now because they keep me up and worried and it completely wakes me child.

Rain is so good for everything!

.........PS on the good side to this post....Lily Anne can hear! I am happy that it woke her up. It totally means she hears! Proud.

Wagon Days!!!

The summer days have started! Pulling the wagon with Lily Anne in it. Oh boy where has the time gone. I am just beside myself with joy and sadness. I am not ready to say I have a 1 year old and not a baby.

Lily Anne has taken quite a turn in eating. Although we still fight with her on loving it, but she does like to feed herself. We tried peas and carrots. She thought that was great....definitely not as messy as I thought it would be.

This morning yet again (actually as always) I had to wake her up. Ususally by lighting on her lamp does the trick but.....this morning she was zonked.....enough for me to turn the light on and run for the camera. Love my sleeping baby.

As I sit her on my lunch break at work....I really wonder

- what my child thinks about?
- what does she really see?
- does she really understand how much we love her?
- can she really hear what I am saying?
- will I disappoint her oneday?
- Am I really a mom?

the list goes on... I look into her big blue eyes and melt. It really hard to look at her and not wonder about the future and all it holds. She lights up our household when endless love, laughter, squeals, and screams. I am still completely amazed and stunned that Mich and I created her...my brain is still saying her parents are coming one day.

This morning was chaos. Lily Anne woke up early 5am! After a quick change, I brought her down stair to join Mich and I in the last hour of sleep. She was trying with all her might to get up with laughter and pokes. Finally, she gave in .... HEAVEN again. Only to over sleep! 6:45am, CRAP!!!. So, in the mad rush to get showered, ready, baby feed, dressed, pack the bags, and wisk out the door. I realized that I forgot my breakfast on the counter. Seriouly...so avoid listening to my belly, I reverted to singing (yes with my horrible singing abilities), Lily Anne lets me know that she is back there and I sounded horrible...that started talking to me (blabbing...and squeals and dada.), looks in the mirror in front of her, looks out the window, and plays with her feet. Thanks dear! ( guess that answered the does she hear question.)

Lily Anne is rejecting her morning bottle....no matter how or when (before or after solids)

I thought okay maybe she is weaning off the bottle. She loves the sippy cup of water or a hint of juice with water. So, I thought lets put formula in it for the morning...

okay so I tried the sippy cup thinking that would help. NEGATIVE!!!

She takes all the other bottles fine during the day and bedtime...

So, help me out...
**I have tried to give her bottle first thing then wait on breakfast solids .... still wants NO part of it.

Here is my schedule:
7:30 - Wake up - get dressed, brush teeth, go down stairs
7:45 - Breakfast - Fruit (with cereal) 4oz all together.Bottle (5oz) - REJECTING
8:30 - Out the door and off to daycare

**she is at daycare from 9am - 5pm M-F**
her general schedule at daycare:
9:00 - Plays and Learns
10:30 - 12 - Nap
12(there about) - Lunch - Veggie (3oz), Fruit (3oz), Bottle (6oz) - drinks all
12:30 - Plays and Learns (may go outside)
2/3 - 4 - NAP4(there about) - Bottle (6oz) - drinks all Few puffs(Gerber Graduates -sweet potato)
5:15 - I pick her up

6:30 - Dinner - Some type of Meal (4oz), Fruit (3-4oz). I give her a sippy cup of water or juice/water mix - 4oz.)
plays til bath time or lately we have been going on walks
7:45 - Bath
8:00 - Bottle (8ozs)
8:30 - Passed out in the crib for the night!

Seriously!!! Time is going so fast now. As, Lily Anne picks up the pace on growing and learning, I am wanting things to slow down a bit.

She has been doing so wonderful since the tubes. We go for run/walk in the evening and she laughs and loves it. The faster I go the more enjoys. The feeling of wind rushing around her.

We are enjoying our new found life...dinner withe friends, shopping and just being out and about. Although, she does have some seperation issues...she does well in the mornings, but the evenings are bad. She is all good as long as I am around...but I leave and she melts.

She is letting my friends and neighbors touch and play with her. (FINALLY) There for a while I thought lord have mercy on me. Someone other than me or Mich would look at her ... she would have a ALL OUT SCREAM FEST! Now she will smile at a waitress and people in the grocery store. Such a personality change.

Friday morning around 7:45am Lily Anne went for surgery on her ears. THANK GOD!!!

Wednesday we got the all care from her pediatrician, went to pre-op and got our scheduled time of arrival. Then the notice of nothing after midnight, which is fine during the night but in the morning I was going to be dealing with a hungry baby.....or so I thought.

Nah, Lily Anne woke up around 7;15am...happy as ever. So off to car we go and to the ENT surgerical center. (which I rave around) get in and all ready to go. Lily Anne is laughing and giving everyone smiles. I think she knew we were bringing her relieve to her pain.

And exactly 24 minutes later she was back in my arms. She was a little fussy from being knocked out on drugs...but she was not HORRIBLE but what I had been told was going to happen. Then we were release to go home....

BTW: Wednesday night was the last of the meds from the ear infection last week...Thursday no meds, Friday surgery.... Dr. Holms was not happy to tell us when he went in to do the surgery BOTH her ears were infected again. Thank you Thank you for doing the srugery adn may this bring relieve to our household.

So, this weekend was packed with as much as she could handle.

Lily Anne is getting tubes in her ears on Friday! I am so ready it is not funny.

We went to her pre-op with her pedi this morning. She is good to go. Tomorrow it is the real pre-op with the ENT center. Then Friday AM is the big moment. I am hoping for the best.

Highlights...she is starting to babble .... DADADA it is so sweet and comoletely makes me melt.

Little facts.. Lily Anne weighed in at 17lbs, 9oz this morning (with a wet diaper and fully dressed). She is a little peanut!

We were 1 month delayed due to ear infections, then we were a week late on previewing...so after a ton of rescheduling...Here we are..

Sorry gang…took a momentary break…

We got 12 days of NO medicine and/or ear infection baby, then we got to pay yet again another on Sunday.... Copay of $25 and another round of drugs for a double ear infection…which was a one-way ticket to the ENT. Poor Lily Anne, those ears are going to be the death of us.

On the other news front, things are going good with the home front. Lily Anne has really taken to the eating solids nows. She loves her new highchair! Since our original one has been recalled…it was free so I did not have a huge fit.

Even as much as to say…Hey Mom …FEED ME!!!

First day of Spring…bare knees. She was so cute and learned how to pull up on my leg..

We have finally put in her new big girl carseat...I think she liked it.

Daddy has taught her how to make a popping noise with your cheek..which I got some really good photos in the process. CHEESE?!?

So, along with all the first … why not add..pulling up in the crib. Oh Lily Anne, please put on the breaks.

And we turned 8 months...it has gone so fast! Me and Mich are amazed each day we have with her and to be able to say she is all ours. She has grown so much...and the tings she has learned how to do, wow. Here are photos of her big day.

Ugh...I am tired, frustrated, and ....

I am beyond my wits end...with life.

Where does one begin...okay...too much thinking. Lets start with Friday...Mich take Lily Anne to Doctor for follow-up to ear infections (notice plural...). We finally made it off meds and 14 days without a ear infection. Doctor said her ears look wonderful. HOORAY! (copay $25)

Saturday we enjoy to wonderful weather with a walk and backyard fun. Dinner with friends...however, our living room TV decides it totally does not want to work. I seriously it had a mind of it own. Mich and Greg look at it and it cut off for good. NADA. The TV is 3 years old! okay...so with just talked.

Sunday...5:15am! Lily Anne wakes. Unusual .. She is going completely nutty...so I feed her a bottle...then she is back out again. Alrighty...until 10:30am. So...only to wake up to a stopped up nose. Well...so the day just goes down hill. She runs a lovely temp of 102, cranky, and just general yuck. So, off we go to the after hours at the peds office. Goody, our Doctor is on call. He does a good check on her....No flu, No ear infections, and a blood count which came back saying she had a viral. Meaning hello it is a cold. (Copay $25)

Monday...4;30am awake bottle, sleep...Mich has the day off so he stayed home with her. Well...her fever broke. But her schedule is way out of wack. God, love him...but calling me everytime you do something to her while I am at work. So, I see him calling me (we have caller ID)...thinking okay Mich, I totally do not do this to you while you are at work! only to hear this..."Lisa...I am at a loss, I do not know what to do. She woke up hot as ever took her temp 103.7, feed her a bottle thinking it would help and it was a fluke. But when I took her temp after her bottle it was 104." Mich go the doctor's office..I will meet you there.

Seriously! I am stressed out by now for sure... Doctor does the normal check..."Well, Lily Anne i do not know how you can do it...but you have a ear infection that was not there yesterday." I am just as shocked. WONDERFUL! So, Doctor says if we get another ear infection, we have to go to a ENT for tubes. Alrighty, now another $25 and cost of drugs....hopefully we are on a good road.

(there needs to be a rule on copays...if you visit the doctor TWICE in LESS than 24 hours....it should only be ONE copay!) $75 to the doctor office in one weekend...I should own a chair at least.

Monday night was horrible! She was hard to get down...but finally gave up at 8:40pm. Only to wake up SCREAMING at 12:30AM. After rocking her...with no success, Mich came in to try. Nope...we continued to SCREAM...until 4:35AM. Mich and I decided to give her a bath...yes at 4:30AM. She loves the bath more than anything. She was calm finally! I fixed a small bottle hoping it would work...Yup. There was peace...only to be followed by the alarm clock at 6:15am.

Mich had to work (I felt horrible for him)...I stayed home. Last night was alright...woke up at 3am feed, rock, rock, sleep...

I am so exhausted from life... My parents are coming this weekend to give us a date on Saturday. I told my mom on the way to work...can she watch her most of the day Saturday and evening...I would like to go to a party and shopping...then a date. She was all excited...I am so thankful!

oh and to add to the joys of life...AF decided to show a whole week early! Thank you AF you are truly wonderful!

Food, Bottle, clothing, toys, naps, what to decide....

Food: Lily Anne is NOT a huge eater...so I struggle everyday on what to feed her. We are finally up to 3 meals a day. One night she loves a meal and I think wow we have made a break through only to findout at the next mealtime she hates everything. Ugh...it is so fustrating.

Bottle: How many per day or how many ounces? This is a joke in our house lately (about as much as food)... She ate for weeks 4 botttles at 8ozs. Well, now she is changing yet again on me. Saturday - 3 bottles (during the day) at 5 ozs, then bed time the full 8oz. Sunday - 2 bottles maybe 6 ozs? the bed time the full 8 oz again. Thus wasting some expensive formula...which is not my worry here. I noticed on her daily sheet at daycare...generally gets 2 bottles...but yesterday it was 1 1/2 bottles. um..okay now I am guessing here in this category too?

Clothing: Okay...this is a big decision...she has so many clothes (the flipside of a having a girl) to choose from each day. It is like picking something for me to wear. She is super cute in everything. Why must clothing makers have way more cute girly stuff? Then to top the decision process it is hairbows and shoes. Although I am still managing to get her dressed everyday.

Toys: This is a new category. She loves everything about it. I have found lots to get her involved but her ultimate toy is our dog Zoe. She loves her...she crawls after her laughing. Zoe on the other HATES Lily Anne chasing her. But I have 1 wicker cube of toys, a bucket of rings, and basket of rattles and pop-links. All three will be emptied out by the end of playtime. As long as she grab it, put it in her mouth, lights up, or makes funny noises it is a winner.

Naps: She is a good napper most days at home unless we are not feeling well. At daycare, she is so nosey in what is going on that naps at all over the place. I am not complaining. But I never know until the moment comes...

Time flies in our household. I am completely amazed how we have made it with Lily Anne the past 7 months. She is getting so big and such lively one. Last night was a great example...We got home unloaded the car. I put her in the middle of the living room with lots of toys, take off my jacket and sit down to play with her. Only to watch her crawl off away from me. What??? Do I stink? Am I no fun? How and when did she become independent?

It seems like lately I can sum my life in one short sentence. It is like I hit repeat button everyday. Although, I am completely 100% happy...but what happened to the get up and go?

The planning involved in going out at night with Lily Anne is a whole different world. At first it was adventure...and I always would say it will get easier when she just a little older. LOL at myself....boy was I stupid. It really does not get easier...just a little more complex.

okay...so onward we go...

We remodeled Lily Anne’s crib last weekend…by lowering the mattress. I kept the bumpers in the crib. I saw no reason to remove just yet. She still jams her head in the corner….WELL!!! It was completely short lived. Saturday the bumper were removed…I walked upstairs to find my little girl (she not a tiny baby anymore) standing waiting for me. WHAT!

My dear…I knew you would do this but not this early. Oh well. Here is to my new little girl! Cling!

Sunday we enjoyed the outside…made a play mat and brought toys outside. She enjoyed at first this she got bored. But here are some photos:

We took advantage of the lovely weather we had the weekend. High 60's..which is NICE! So, Saturday we went for a very short walk. Lily Anne was not 100% into it. It was about her nap time but I really wanted to get out of the house. About 5 minutes into the walk she lets us know that she is completely tired and not into the sunshine.

I thought grr...oh well. So back to the house we go. By the time we walk up the drive way, she gets happy. Child - will you make up your mind?

I sat in the backyard, while Zoe (the dog) ran some energy off. Lily Anne got to feel grass for the first time. She was not very crazy about it...but did managed to get her fingers to dig! Dirt under the fingernails and all!

I even got a GREAT photo of Mich adn Lily Anne! This is worth it all. Mich is not a camera person...he actually hates me and camera. It definitely went in a frame on my desk.

After much determination...she inspected the dead leaf until it was no more. She broke it into a million pieces then decided to try to put in her mouth. That is when Mich stepped in and said no.

We did try the walk on Sunday...not so close to nap time. She enjoyed the entire hour outside. We walked by the lake in the neighborhood and then visited the ducks. Then enjoyed the golfers out playing. She was not terribly impressed with the golf carts...until a gentleman stepped out and smiled at her.

So, the weekend was a lot of fun!

Friday... it is the start of the weekend right?

This week has been so long. Work has been super busy...the phone never stops. To which I would rather have busy day than a slow day. A huge glass of wine is in order tonight.

We are suppose to have a wonderful weekend of dry weather. Thank goodness, my poor child can not handle anymore huge temperature drops. Last weekend we were covered in SNOW. Lily Anne got to see and feel it for the 1st time. Although, she went to sleep for a nap with light rain...but woke up to the blizzard.

It was truly beautiful to see everything turn white. Lily Anne quite did not know what to think after we got her bundled up. Now, that was a story...For those southerns out there, snow is not normal. Knowing I wanted photos...but really not equiped with clothing/snow suits for Lily Anne. So with the only two jackets she owns and hat and mittens we brave the snow. So, Lily Anne is cutting her top TWO teeth, but doing it like a champ. Although, we are on our 3rd ear infection. *yes, 3rd..we did not even make it off the medicine from #2 before we got #3. So, how is that possible? Well, as Mich says, the amoxicillin is a very common drug and most infections get immune to it fast.

Lily Anne is working on crawling more everyday. She has the army crawl down and gets all over the house. If I put my hand under her belly she will actually crawl. Super cute.

But I caught her learning to pull up on things while starting her bath one night. WOW!!

Now, look we have removed the bouncy and packed it away. So sad!

So, our weekend plans are figure out how to lower her mattress. This is going to be fun. We thought we were smart when we ordered the furniture and have baby store delivered and setup the furniture for us. Um...wonderful...except neither one of watched them put the crib together. We looked at the instructions and of it does not tell you anything but a drawing.

Oh..please excuse the mess ....but I am trying to make it look better. It is a work in progress...
